City of Dublin ETB (Education and Training Board) is proud to announce the launch of its new City of Dublin FET College. The City of Dublin FET College has over 30,000 learners with 12,000 full time and 18,000 part time students. The College will operate over four integrated campuses strategically located all over the city. All courses are provided in nine specialist faculties. The City of Dublin FET College brand also involves the renaming of all existing FET centres to reflect their alignment within the new structure. This development marks a significant milestone in the evolution of FET in Dublin, reinforcing a coherent, learner-centred approach that supports ease of access, progression, flexibility, and quality across the entire learner journey.

City of Dublin FET College now operates across four strategic campuses in the city, delivering a comprehensive range of programmes including Post-Leaving Certificate (PLC) courses, apprenticeships, traineeships, Youthreach, and other further education and training... Government funding worth tens of millions of euros will drive the development of these projects which will act as a focal point for FET services in these regions. These projects are in addition to six projects that advanced late last year to the Pre-Tender stage of development - Project Design, Planning and Procurement Strategy.

The FET College of the Future Major Projects Fund was launched in February 2022, with the objective of addressing deficits in current FET infrastructure. 🎉 Exciting Announcement from City of Dublin ETB! As part of this transformation, all existing FET centres will be renamed to reflect their new identity within this integrated and forward-looking college structure. Ballyfermot College of Further Education has officially adopted a new legal name: City of Dublin FET College, Ballyfermot Road, Southwest Campus. This name change aligns with the strategic restructuring across all City of Dublin Education and Training Board Further Education and Training Colleges.

All Erasmus+ grant applications and legal agreements from April 1st, 2025, will use the new legal name. This change enhances clarity and legal consistency across European partnerships and project documentation. This name change to City of Dublin FET College, Ballyfermot Road, Southwest Campus reflects our alignment with the national vision for the FET College of the Future, as outlined by SOLAS. It represents a move toward a more integrated, learner-centred FET/ tertiary system that is responsive, inclusive, and future-ready.
