This guide is selective and intended as a point of departure for research in American Studies. This guide contains, largely, resources listed by disciplines (Literature, Music) or topics (contemporary language) of interest to American Studies. Resources listed by resource type (Newspapers, Archives/Manuscripts, Government Documents, etc.) are available via the Library Research Guide for History. Search the archive or pull up a specific article. Artstor is now available on the JSTOR platform. Provides abstracts and citations to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender literature published worldwide. Citations represent periodical articles, books, newspapers, newsletters, case studies, speeches, and other formats. Also includes full text for GLBT journals, magazines and regional newspapers, as well as numerous full text books. Use the page links above to find lists of resources on a variety of literary and historical resources, both online and in print, available through the Cornell University Library.
