เส้นทางสตาร์ตอัพของ วิศรุต ชาลี จากโปรเจกต์ในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัย สู่ธุรกิจที่สร้าง Impact ให้สิ่งแวดล้อมและชุมชน ด้วยนวัตกรรมพลาสติกมีกลิ่นหอมจากธรรมชาติ พร้อมภารกิจที่ใหญ่กว่าธุรกิจ คือการแก้ปัญหาวิกฤติขยะให้หมดไปอย่างยั่งยืน ท่ามกลางวิกฤติสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ทวีความรุนแรงขึ้น ทั้งปัญหาขยะพลาสติกที่กว่า 75% ในประเทศไทยไม่ถูกนำกลับเข้าสู่กระบวนการรีไซเคิล และปัญหามลพิษ PM2.5 ที่มีสาเหตุส่วนหนึ่งมาจากการเผาเศษวัสดุทางการเกษตร ได้กลายเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของคำถามสำคัญที่ว่า “เราจะเปลี่ยนปัญหาเหล่านี้ให้เป็นโอกาสได้อย่างไร” จากคำถามนี้เอง ได้นำไปสู่การก่อตั้ง REWASTEC สตาร์ตอัพสัญชาติไทยที่กำลังสร้างแรงกระเพื่อมครั้งสำคัญ ด้วยการพัฒนานวัตกรรม “เม็ดพลาสติกและเส้นหวายเทียม” ที่สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นจากการผสมผสานระหว่างขยะพลาสติกจากครัวเรือนและขยะกากทางการเกษตร เช่น ฟางข้าว ชานอ้อย และใบไผ่ เพื่อเปลี่ยนขยะที่ดูไร้ค่าให้กลายเป็นวัตถุดิบตั้งต้นมูลค่าสูง สำหรับอุตสาหกรรมเฟอร์นิเจอร์ บรรจุภัณฑ์ และชิ้นส่วนในซัพพลายเชน เรื่องราวของ REWASTEC เริ่มต้นขึ้นในรั้วมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี โดย วิศรุต ชาลี CEO & Co-Founder ซึ่งขณะนั้นยังเป็นนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 2 คณะวิศวกรรมพอลิเมอร์ เขาเล็งเห็นถึงปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้นพร้อมกันสองด้าน จึงเกิดไอเดียที่จะนำความรู้ด้านพลาสติกที่เรียนมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการแก้ปัญหา วิศรุตเล่าว่า “เราเริ่มจากไอเดียและแพชชั่นล้วน ๆ ไม่ได้มีโรงงานเป็นของตัวเอง แต่เราอยากเห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลง อยากช่วยแก้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมและสังคมจริง ๆ” จากความมุ่งมั่นนั้น เขาและทีมได้ผลักดันโปรเจกต์ผ่านการแข่งขันในเวทีต่าง ๆ จนได้รับทุนสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐอย่าง NIA และ GISTDA ซึ่งเปรียบเสมือนเชื้อเพลิงสำคัญที่ช่วยให้แนวคิดจากห้องทดลองสามารถเติบโตและขยายสเกลสู่ธุรกิจจริงได้ “ทำไมเราต้องใช้สารเคมีมากมาย ทั้งที่เราตั้งใจจะทำธุรกิจที่ช่วยลดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม?” คำถามเล็ก ๆ นี้ กลายเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการเปลี่ยนทิศทางและจุดประกายให้เกิด บริษัท รีเวสเทค จำกัด (ReWastec Co., Ltd.) บริษัทสตาร์ทอัพเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ที่ก่อตั้งโดย วิศรุต ชาลี

แม้จะเพิ่งจดทะเบียนบริษัทอย่างเป็นทางการได้เพียง 3 ปี แต่แนวคิดของ ReWastec ถือกำเนิดมาตั้งแต่ช่วงปี 2018–2019 ในขณะที่วิศรุตยังเป็นนักศึกษาวิศวกรรมพลาสติก จากมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี ในช่วงเวลานั้น ปัญหามลพิษ PM 2.5 กำลังเป็นประเด็นที่สังคมไทยเริ่มตื่นตัว โดยเฉพาะในภาคอีสานที่มีการเผาตอซังข้าวและวัสดุเหลือทิ้งจากการเกษตรจำนวนมาก สิ่งเหล่านี้กระตุ้นให้เขาตั้งคำถามว่า จะทำอย่างไรให้ "ขยะ" ที่ไม่มีใครอยากได้เหล่านี้ กลายเป็นวัสดุที่มีมูลค่าและไม่สร้างผลกระทบซ้ำให้กับสิ่งแวดล้อม จากการศึกษาค้นคว้า วิศรุตเริ่มทดลอง สกัดเซลลูโลสจากตอซังข้าว เพื่อนำไปผลิตเป็นไบโอพลาสติก แต่กระบวนการที่ต้องใช้เคมีหลายขั้นตอนทำให้เกิดคำถามสำคัญ เรากำลังสร้างสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดีขึ้น หรือแค่เปลี่ยนรูปแบบของมลพิษ? วิศรุต ชาลี ประธานกรรมการบริษัท บริษัท รีเวสเทค จํากัด จึงเปลี่ยนแนวคิดใหม่ — แทนที่จะใช้สารเคมีเพื่อสกัดวัตถุดิบ เขาเริ่มหาทาง นำขยะจากการเกษตรมาผสมกับพลาสติกรีไซเคิลโดยตรง เพื่อปรับปรุงคุณภาพของเม็ดพลาสติกให้สามารถใช้งานได้จริง โดยไม่ต้องผ่านกระบวนการที่ซับซ้อนและเสี่ยงต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม #WeeklyInsightsByRewastec | Thailand calls for stronger national action on plastic recycling Thailand’s plastics industry is urging the government to make plastic recycling a national priority, highlighting that real circularity requires coordinated action across policy,...
