sporcle apps

Challenge your mind, one letter at a time. Millions of quizzes on every topic in the universe. I’m obsessed with Sporcle and love that it’s finally available in app form since responsive mode on phones didn’t really work well. The trivia games are so fun and depending on which ones you do, you can seriously learn new things. For example, I finally learned all the countries in the world & where they’re located from repeatedly playing Sporcle geography games That being said, they still really need to work out the bugs. Sometimes slide-out/pop-up panes like notifications just refuse to load and show.

Their ads are also buggy and sometimes freeze the entire app. They’re also like 10x more common than on the website version. I don’t mind apps since it’s a good way for them to make money, but Sporcle should at least make sure the apps aren’t making the app freeze to the point that I have... I suppose it depends on what quirks you're willing to deal with. As for me, I might end up using the website instead. If I was just rating Sporcle I’d give it a 4.5. I love it and have played their trivia games for years. my only complaint is not being able to filter by types of quiz within categories, and there’s an over abundance of quiz types that I don’t like. Like “sort these movies into t the decade they were released” but that’s just a personal nitpick. My problem is with the app itself. It’s not at all optimized for mobile devices.

Typing games are a pain. Games that take up a large amount of space aren’t sized to fit into the screen and often times you can’t scroll down and stay at a certain location. Sometimes you have to minimize your keyboard in order to see the bottom of a quiz then re-open your keyboard. It’s just not very easy when you’re trying to beat a time limit This update brings playing quizzes on Sporcle to a whole new level. Check out our Beta ‘For You’ recommendations, powered by AI and your personal quiz play history.

Easily find quizzes targeted to your preferences right from the homepage! Additionally we’ve added bug fixes and performance updates. Keep your eyes open for more updates coming soon. Quick update here to bring you the ability to customize your app icons! Switch your app icon to a dark mode version or get something more jazzy with Florins. You can find these in your settings, so check them out.

If you're Orange you might find something cute as well. Happy Sporcling! Hi Sporclers! In this update we’ve made playing and pausing quizzes cleaner, quicker and more awesome. And bug fixes. Because we love you.

Sporcle refused to open on some devices. We have rectified that. Did you know that for every bug squashed in the Sporcle app an engineer gets a high five? Well, we have definitely doled out some high fives over the past few weeks. This update includes a slew of bug fixes and performance improvements. Thanks for playing, and happy Sporcling!
