This application uses jquery, bootstrap, and moment.js to allow you to plan out your work day. You can write out your schedule for each hour and the app will help you keep track of time by coloring each hour with colors for past, present, and future. Simply click on the textarea of the timeblock you want to alter and type in your schedule for the hour. When you are done, click the save icon and everything you typed for the timeblock will be saved in local storage for later use. This project is about the creation of a workday calendar that permits the user to save events for each work hour in the day. Saving the data entered by the user in the local storage, allowing the user to close or refresh the page and don’t lose the data.
With the use of JQuery I’ve been able to manipulate all the elements and add CSS styling to them. Also, a library Moment.js has been used to be able to work with date and time used in this project. JQuery W3Schools, https://www.w3schools.com/jquery/ #Homework 05 Third-Party APIs: Work Day Scheduler This is the fifth homework that is required for the University of Denver Coding Boot Camp. The assignment was to build a sample calendar application that allows a user to save events for each hour of the day.
The website is built using the following: Built by Mark Raudenbush markraud@hotmail.com This homework taught me about traversing the DOM along with inserting HTML elements and text. I also learned how to build and style a webpage using the Bootstrap framework and how to use Moment.js. This is the solution HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the 02-Challenge assignment in the 05-Third-Party APIs Module. The purpose of the assignment was to take the starter code and complete the work day scheduler.
The finished scheduler uses a prototype table tr element, which is then cloned via jQuery to create the time segments. jQuery is then used to apply the proper time-of-day classes. jQuery also takes care of the event handling duties, which are in use (along with localStorage) for the save functionality. Moment.js is used to provide a properly formatted date at the top of the page, and also to provide time formatting in the first td element (per row). This project is complete and should have no future revisions
