These are my paintings which represent my fascination with Environmental Expressionism. They show the on going battle between man and the environment. I use multiple layers of mixed media which include photography pieces taken from my own rural background to show the conflict. The imagery depicted is edited and collaged in a way that you never quite know what you are looking at. The scale, layers and uncertainty draw you in and engulf you. I am drawn to the theme of abstract where I can explore abstract objects or push myself to try and create abstract photos.

I like to create abstract photos because for every person that sees the photos, it tells a different story. The photo can be seen differently because of someone’s past memories or how they are feeling at the moment. I enjoy sharing the abstract photos because it is unique and personal to everyone. Each person can have a chance to interpret the photo in their own way. Meet & Greet Opening Reception - Saturday, Nov. 22nd 1-4pm
