2024 submission guidelines updated information for new and medium

All authors should carefully review the following policies that govern the submission and review process, as failure to comply with these policies may result in the rejection of your submission as well as possible... In addition, authors are urged to consult ethics guidelines, recommended best practices, and FAQs. Paper formatting: Papers are limited to eight pages, including figures and tables, in the CVPR style. Additional pages containing only cited references are allowed. Please download the CVPR 2024 Author Kit for detailed formatting instructions. Papers that are not properly anonymized, or do not use the template, or have more than eight pages (excluding references) will be rejected without review.

Submission and review process: CVPR 2024 will be using OpenReview to manage submissions. Consistent with the review process for previous CVPR conferences, submissions under review will be visible only to their assigned members of the program committee (senior area chairs, area chairs, and reviewers). The reviews and author responses will never be made public, and we will not be soliciting comments from the general public during the reviewing process. Anyone who plans to submit a paper as an author or a co-author will need to create (or update) their OpenReview profile by the full paper submission deadline. According to Poets & Writers, “Your publishing success rests on one axiom: Know your market.” As the world grappled with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I walked away from my consultancy job with the federal government in Canberra, carrying a mix of disappointment and untapped ambition. Returning home to Melbourne, a spark ignited within me — a deep calling from my higher self. On March 19, 2020, in the midst of global uncertainty, I took a bold step and founded ILLUMINATION, a publication grounded in the values of diversity, inclusion, and equality, inviting around 100 writers to... Just as the publication and community began to flourish, something unexpected occurred on 24 April 2020. In the project’s second month, Medium abruptly suspended my account due to allegations of a person with sour grapes, leading to the publication’s closure and causing panic among writers, editors, administrators, and readers.

We quickly took steps to immunize ILLUMINATION against unexpected challenges, and this precaution significantly affected its growth. In an effort to amplify traffic to Medium and spark viral success for its writers, I began curating published stories and blogging about them on my personal website. By syndicating this content to collaborators’ sites, I created a ripple effect that funneled even more traffic back to Medium.com — a platform I had grown to love deeply during that time. But then, everything came to a halt. The downloads stopped abruptly, leaving me with cryptic error messages despite my best troubleshooting efforts. Frustrated, I contacted Medium’s support team, only to be hit with an unexpected blow: the publication had grown too large — over 1,000 writers strong — and Medium could no longer generate the CSV...
