Director, Lighting Lead, Compositing Lead This group of tiles was inspired by historical Islamic, Spanish, and Dutch tile-work. The designs on each tile are inspired by albums and artists that I love, and help identify who I am. Accepted into Auburn's 2020 Juried Fine Arts Online Student Exhibition This sculpture was part of a two piece installation confronting the issue of shark finning and the necessary push for their conservation. The title of this piece represents the 100,000,000 sharks killed by humans each year.
This sculpture was part of a two piece installation confronting the issue of shark finning and the necessary push for their conservation. The title of this piece represents one of the six people killed by sharks each year. Accepted into Auburn's 2019 Juried Fine Arts Student Exhibition Blender, I have about 8 Months of experience with Blender so far so I am still new.. This UNIT 1&2 page includes work from the first topic I studied in class. The work begins with basic environment building + learning how to model basic objects, hence the low quality models. In addition to learning how to 3D model, this page also features work relating to unwrapping textures and ID models, as well as the process of painting/materialising the objects. This scene is my first in 3DS Max. My first project was to create a low poly world. I used certain modifiers such as SubDivide and ProOptimizer to give the assets a low poly look.
Subdivide splits the square faces (of a polygon) into triangles. ProOptimizer lowers the amount of vertices and or number of faces. Lower face/vertex number means less faces, which means the less smooth surface looks very geometrical. (The image quality is low because Wix automatically compresses images heavily) Above is a screenshot of a well in 3DS Max. The checker pattern is a display of the texture map on the objects.
The more "boxes" or checkers on an object, the higher the potential resolution. A texture needs to be of quality that matches the map. Having a high quality texture on a low resolution map won't give good results. If the map is very high quality and has many boxes, this also means the texture needs to be of very high quality.
