42bangkok Let S Interview Our Pisciner From Piscine
We start with the basics, using a computer, you will write your first lines of code before moving on to more complex coding exercises. No previous programming experience is required! We simply ask that you know how to use a mouse and a keyboard. Throughout this experience, you will try and you will fail, over and over again. That’s the point: learning the trial-and-error process builds stamina, determination, and develops skills that are necessary to be a software engineer. Basic Training is done using the 42 style of learning: no teachers, no classes, no books.
You work both individually and in groups, ask your peers for help, help your peers, and complete projects. Not convinced? Try it! Many students consider it to be one of the highlights of their student life: everyone around you shares a similar passion for coding and is facing the exact same dilemmas at the same time. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come and spend 4 weeks, 7 days a week, day and night, coding your heart out with several hundred other candidates all hoping to... Finally, after spending 8 hours in average per day studying hard in 42 the computer science school's 26-day bootcamp, named the Piscine, and two weeks after finishing the Piscine, I succeed in passing the...
🎉 This was another major milestone for me as a developer, since despite already having experience in programming when attending the bootcamp, the Piscine's curriculum was still no walk in the park. I registered and attending the Piscine because I want to continue to improve myself as a developer, so naturally I hope I can pass the bootcamp and be qualified for 42's core programme. It was a massive relief to realise that my hard work had paid off and got recognised by the school. At the moment, it is still uncertain when the core programme will start, because my local campus still needs a certain amount of qualified participants from multiple intakes of the Piscine, so there are... The campus have planned to hold a new intake of the Piscine in the coming months, so hopefully there will be more people joining us in the core programme.
Interestingly, the email the campus staff sent us to inform us of the results of our Piscine arrived at our mailbox at 4.20 pm (Malaysia Time) sharp. I am almost certain that is intentional, given that the school is literally named 42. I had decided that regardless of my results of the Piscine, I will continue to make good use of the resources I currently have to keep my computer science and programming knowledge and skills... A1: No, not at all!
It is not necessary to have any knowledge in programming to join and succeed at 42. A2: We accept people aged 18 and up to join our program. A3: You must apply online first, then do an online test to know whether you are familiar or have a sense of coding. Next, you have to check-in to be divided into a Piscine group. For the Piscine process, you will be trained and tested to be selected as our final students. A4: 42 does not grant degrees or diplomas.
Our program is based on the levels of experience that you earn with a project. We deliver a certificate of completion at the end of our program. The experience and skills that you acquire while studying at 42 are essential for technical job interviews, and 42 has a strong reputation and connections to industry. A5: No, we believe that our system works better if you are physically present to interact with other students. We call it peer-to-peer learning, but if you really want to learn on your own, there are many online options!
