This is a full-time direct hire position The client is seeking an experienced editor with strong journalism and fact-checking skills to join our growing news department.

As a news editor working with a team of writers from all around the world, you’ll be responsible for editing content across news beats, according to the needs of the news cycle. You can work independently and under time pressure to produce factually accurate and clean copy, with your strong ability to identify and eliminate errors. You can also identify ways to improve headlines, leads, and story structure under tight time constraints. The ideal candidate for this position will be grounded in journalism ethics, with a dedication to presenting the facts without partisanship or influence from special interests, regardless of personal bias or convictions. Giving and receiving constructive feedback is an integral part of the role. Salary Range: $65k – $80k, negotiable depending on experience
