Link to my best work in Elective: Elective Video Game (You must click on the screen to shoot and move once you have started the main game scene.) This piece of work shows my ability to create something from scratch, as well as my ability to collaborate with other people. In this project, we had to create a video game throughout the entirety of the school year. In this project, we had to work with a partner to create an educational video game. Our topic was on math. Our video game has been just a demo, and it is still in development.

We plan to add more levels and features in the future. My ability to create something from scratch was shown in this project because we didn't use the globaloria wiki like the teacher recommended, my partner and I chose to use a different code that... This project also shows my ability to be collaborative because we had to work with a partner for a whole year. Collaboration was a necessity for this project because we needed to talk about what code we needed, what we wanted our character to do, what math problems to put in, and more. I think the game is somewhat near completion. Hello everyone!

In this essay, I will be telling you what it's like to be an AdVENTURE student. Being an AdVENTURE student is a wonderful thing to be. You see, at AdVENTURE, you get to use more tools to help us learn in many different ways. We also get to have a lot of hands-on projects and activites. We will get to these things later on the essay. Anyway, let's continue.

At AdVENTURE, you get to use a lot of technology to help you learn and do more activities. This technology can range from laptops, to phones, to tablets and more. We usually use laptops as they are provided by the school. These laptops also allow for more than one person to work on a project and communicate with one another. The technology we use is a more convenient and fun way to learn and complete school work. We don't use regular textbooks, we find more exciting and innovative ways to learn, making it fun in the process.

The projects we do at AdVENTURE are usually projects that we need to use technology for. There are some projects that don't use technology, but we don't really do those types of projects. One example of a project is the We Are What We Do project. This project was a combination of both technology, and regular "pencil-on-paper" type of school work. For a part of the project, we had to make a billboard on a piece of poster paper. However, for our print ad, we made it digitally.

We also had to make a commercial with a camera, script, and even editing the video. Here at AdVENTURE, we get prepared for what problems we may come across in the rest of our life. It gets us prepared for what is in store for us in high school and college. We have high expectations we need to live up to at AdVENTURE. It provides just the right amount of challenge for you in every day assigments, or even a project. We almost always work and collaborate with other people, which is a necessity in every day life.

These are just some of the many ways AdVENTURE manages to get students to develop skills to prepare them for their life. In conclusion, being an AdVENTURE student means a lot. It provides a good amount of technology to make learning fun and convenient. It gives a lot to offer in fun projects. Last, but definitely not least, it provides the students with good life skills that are needed in their future lives. Being an AdVENTURE student is a privilege and it is something I do not take for granted.

I hope that you, the reader, can come to AdVENTURE and experience the wonderful skills. technology, and projects this school has to offer. Link to my best work for Elective (Engineering): ExploraVision Challenge - ShiverBurn Sweater For this project, we participated in a challenge called "ExploraVision" that was hosted by Toshiba and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). We needed to imagine a piece of technology that we think would exist 20 years into the future. We brainstormed multiple ideas, but we soon narrowed it down to one.

We had to explain the history of the product that we were making, the consequences of it, and more. We chose to create a sweater that would heat someone up if it was cold, and cool someone down if it was hot. The sweater was made of 60% linen and 40% silk. We chose to make 60-40 instead of an even 50-50 because silk is a thicker material and maintains heat well, which is why we only used 40% of it. We got recognized as an honorable mention by Toshiba and the NSTA for the ExploraVision challenge. This is something that not every entrant in the challenge received, so we were ecstatic when we received it.

Link to my best work in Science: Evolution of Flight This project shows my ability to engage in lengthy in-depth research and the ability to convert this research into notes. In this Evolution of Flight project, we had to conduct a hypothesis that told the reader how and when flight started to first appear in the dinosaur era. You can read the hypothesis that my partner and I conducted if you click on the link. You also had to put how the "flying dinosaur's" bone structure, how it flew, and what else it used its wings for is shown in modern-day birds. This project showed my ability to engage in lengthy in-depth research because my partner and I had to dig through hours of trustworthy websites to find out about the pterodactyl's bone structure, and way...

We also had to take this research and use them as notes in our project. We managed to find a couple of very helpful websites to aid us on this project. It took a while to put all of what we wanted to put in this project, but in the end, we managed to get all of what we wanted into the project. Link to my best work in Math: Math Video Project This project shows my ability to be collaborative, and to be able to use skills that aren't really used in school. In this project, we had to pick a math question provided by the company that was running the math videos.

We had to create a video about that question, answering it in the process. the question that my group (Randall, Eric D, Nathan, and I) chose was "Debbie has equal numbers of dimes and quarters with a total value of $1.40. How many coins does she have altogether?" Our answer was that she had 4 quarters, and 4 dimes. This answer was correct. This project shows my ability to be collaborative by working with my group on what we wanted in the video, how we wanted in the video, and what we wanted to add in the... We managed to agree on everything we wanted to add in the video, and we were satisfied with the final product.

This project shows my skills that weren't practiced in school in my video editing. We don't practice video editing at this school, so I have to learn on my own how to edit videos. I already had previous knowledge with how to edit videos, so I knew what I was doing. 7th grade: This year we used gamestar to help create our game. Now we are learning how to code.We are still using flash. we have to make a platformer or maze game.

We used adobe flash to code our games. Now we are codeing python. It took a while to develop our game idea. This will help us engineer are own games and computer software. Link to my best work in Social Studies: Print Ad This project shows my ability to be collaborative and the ability to be creative.

In this print ad, we had to make an advertisement to show a way to help the environment. Our group's idea was to save water, so, our print ad was based on different ways to save water. This was just one part of the three products we had to make for the We Are What We Do project. My ability to be collaborative is shown in this project by working with teams to find multiple ways to help save the environment. This project shows my ability to be creative by adding a lot of visuals and some colors throughout the print ad to keep the reader interested in what we have to say about the... This shows some of the same skills that the piece of work from Language Arts did.

In AdVENTURE, for my elective class we are working on game designing. Where will are creating a games. Also we must make our game with coding by using different apps. In elective we have done a lot of projects that are mostly related to technology. But my best work so far is my game that I am working on. Although we are not completely finish will making our game.

But this game demo is the best work I have done this year. The game we create must be educational. This means that it must have a learning concept in it. I have created making my game with two other partners. And we decide that our game concept will be able random facts about the U.S. Lastly, our game will be called Trivia Battles.
