Traveling and taking visual notes on the memories in photographies have been interests of mine for quite a long time. As I enrolled in architecture program, I learned more and more about rendering with each time passing by and to me, it is the photography of dream projects. A Ukrainian-born French artist and key figure in the Parisian avant-garde. She was born in Russian in 1885. Her work in modern design included the concepts of geometric abstraction, the integration of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, and clothing. She carries within herself that warmth, characteristic oriental mysticalness which, finds its constructive expression in this contact, grows and develops a transformation in which the elements that constitute her art are transfused into a...
My design intent is to attract the attention of the visitors to make them touch and feel the textiles around them. By putting textules under the spotlight or on an LED platform stage. In designing a rotating clothes frame to allow the visitors to try on those fabricated clothes design by Sonia Delaunay. In this project, an approach which focused on form, colour and rhythm to communicate, and employed the notion of “simultaneity” Colours as have been independent lives obtained when freedom from subject matter. This attitude was aimlessly integrated into Sonia Delaunay’s work along with textiles, where there are the same principles and philosophies of colour study as she did in painting, resulting in work that was simultaneously... The exhibition introduces us to art, designs, drawings and fashions by Sonia Delauney.
Her work in modern design included the concepts of geometric abstraction, the integration of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, and clothing. Her ‘simultaneous contrasts’ are among the earliest examples of that aesthetic. In which, colours look different depending on the colours around them. For example, a grey will look lighter on a dark background than it does on a light one. The Delaunays dispensed with form and aimed to created rhythm, motion and depth through overlapping patches of vibrant hues. Through the exhibition we question ourselves why is the clothing make in a unique manners, what does it make out of, how is show contrasts in her artwork by adding in primary and secondary...
During the first semester of my bachelor program, we learned about visual art and how to interpret our ideas into works of art that was later on showcased on a small exhibition. The class has taught me a lot in regard to expressing my ideas and delivering them to others. It also helped to build my creativity and craftship. The pictures show the different projects assigned throughout the semester and the process to reach them. Conceptual design of the management of the former municipal waste dump in Sowlany. The area has been undeveloped for a long time.
In 2016, a competition for the development of this space took place to become a representative and recreational place. The elevation, which was created after the dump, is a good observation point from which you can see a beautiful panorama. In our concept, zones for passive recreation, active as well as a playground zone have been separated. An innovative idea is a wall with panels that opens various "lookout windows". The main Projects Page of the website will be updated (if necessary) to better explain PBL (project-based learning) and the importance of the 5 Qualities in the student's own words. From here, the 5 quality pages will each be linked and described on its own page with updated personalized definitions written by the student.
Here, the student will update desrciptions of their after-school activities and interests. This page is an intro the student's "outside of school" persona, which will become more extensive in future years. Eventually, this page will discuss internship experiences and jobs. Students in 9th grade will apply web design skills with more independence as they analyze growth, struggles, and future planning for academic success. Students will receive paragraph outline tools (similar to a debriefing) periodically in all classes. They will choose which of the 3 reflection topics to frame their debriefing, asking the questions "How did I struggle" "How did I excell" or "How did I grow"?
They will eventually use these outlines to draft their reflection paragraphs in a more narrative format. At the end of 3rd quarter, students will participate in a lottery selection process to choose the 3 endeavors to actually feature in their portfolios as final reflection paragraphs. At this point, they will revise the outlines & paragraphs they drafted earlier. I have chosen my second design because I feel that the formatting is much cleaner as well as simpler to glance at. Furthermore I feel this ties into my specification much more then the first design does as I have one of my steps to be easily understandable and the first design is much to cluttered... I also got feedback from a friend who said that the design on the bottom can fit more information while also maintainign a clean distance from each part and would fair better as my...
- Create my template in Adobe Illustrator - Write down what I would like each box to say into a separate doc (for easier view) The changes that I made in terms of the posters design ideas are color, slight difference in box size, and one major difference on the second poster. The color on my final poster is a bit darker compared to my inital idea, but I thought that if it were in pastels it will be harder for it to catch peoples eyes,... I had to change the boxes sizes because I couldnt fit much text if I were to keep it the same, and if I were to shrink the text it would be much to... On my second posters ideas I had three boxes underneath the tips and tricks header, but I figured that a bigger image would be much better, and the explanation could just be shortened into...
Other than that I think I stuck to my success criteria and design idea pretty well. My design is pretty easy to understand especially with the images. It is not wordy or overly complicated and is kept simple. What is one thing you feel you did well in implementing the Design Cycle during this project? I feel that I did good on updating my portfolio and summing up everything because I feel that my explanations weren't necessarily lacking to much. What is one thing that you would like to work on and improve for your next design project?
I want to work on making sure that I have a more thorough plan for my final product so I don't second guess myself, I also want to have a better organization on all... At the beginning of the year I was very focused on getting a good grade and didn’t really care that much about the growth and the actual learning that I had to do in... However, over the course of my ninth grade I have encountered many different things that have changed my mindset. Some of these include: the tougher requirements, harder subject matter, and the new level of independence expected. I now have a better understanding of time-management and on how to approach a difficult situation. Towards the end of the year I became more independent and more self-sufficient from the extra measure that I took throughout the year.
Some of these measure include: studying more, getting help from the teacher on content that I didn’t understand fully, and I would have various people test me on the content before a test or... The Political Campaign Poster, Conflict Prezi Project, and Chinese New Year Project have helped me to develop as a student this year. I think that being a 10th grader will be more challenging in the work load and the actual content being taught in the class. The projects explained in my portfolio have prepared me for the 10th grade because they have made me get used to the harder content and more complex projects. Also, they have helped me in refining how I give and receive feedback. I now have more of a growth mindset and am now focused more on learning something from projects and taking away a new skill from my classes.
Throughout the course of this year I feel that I had to rely on persistence the most because of how challenging I felt the content in some of my classes were. By using this quality, I was able to make it through the year. I even got good grades and I feel that I really grew as a student this year because of how I used this quality. The growth I experienced was the ability to draw realistically. Drawing realistically was difficult and the way it’s down was new to me. I had never experienced something where I was required to draw with so much detail and accuracy.
We worked on penguins during the living lens project and comparing my original drawings with my final work the penguins seem to resemble the actual animal. The central idea of this project was the Ohio historical marker program. An Ohio historical marker is a sign placed for a significant place or person from or in Ohio. In this endeavor we needed to create a statement of significance for the person that we chose to do the project on. We also needed to fill out the application for this person for an Ohio historical marker and write the text that would be placed on that marker. In science class I began to learn about acceleration.
The thing my class learned were calculating acceleration, graphing acceleration and knowing what acceleration was. In order to continue to learn about acceleration we were split into groups and assigned a project in which we were to write a lab to calculate acceleration. This quarter one thing we did was create a lab to calculate acceleration.ou. In language Arts this year we completed a project where we needed to write an argumentative essay. The biggest thing I learned during this process was how to create good points for an argument. Rather than just going back and forth making repetitive or invalid points my argumentative essay is rather more convincing than arguing.
Convincing is an important thing to do because it helps to make more professional and persuasive writing.. This year in math class we went throug many learning processes and a few projects. One of the labs we did in math invlolved recording data about a bouncing ball. I grew in this project by gaining the ability to record and interpret data. This was an activity that we did in groups in class. This piece is one of the first freehand sketches I ever designed a number of years ago (which is why I put it last in my portfolio because it isn't the best).
Still, I wanted to include as an example for myself and others on where I started to where I have ended up, so far, in regards to sketching techniques. This piece serves as inspiration for all of my current sketches and I often look back at it to reflect on what inspires me to create.
