Ellie S. Photography was born right out of Central NJ, a place my family & I call home. I've been a registered nurse for 7+ years, which has been both humbling and rewarding in many ways. Photography on the other hand has always been a passion for many years, which really took a life of its own during the pandemic. I turned to photography as a coping skill to better my mental health during a tough time, which quickly outgrew being a coping skill and into a true calling. As cheesy as it may sound, photography is beyond just the picture.

It's the idea that you can capture a moment in time which can be treasured beyond that moment itself. It's more than just capturing the image, but about telling stories and highlighting emotions that transport you to another time and place. Whether you're looking for a traditional family portrait or a more candid, lifestyle approach, I have the skills and expertise to deliver stunning results. My dad is an event photographer/videographer. I am always learning from him. I am happily married to my husband Randy, and we have three beautiful daughters. Ellie Mellie is named after my late grand-parents, Eleanor & Melvin & has grown into something more than I could have ever imagined! My passion is to create images that have a touch of whimsy, are emotive & moody, have creative lighting & just a bit of an editorial edge. For me, the image begins in my head, and isn't complete until I have had a chance to work my magic in editing. This is what sets us apart and helps us stand out. No idea is too big... no location, country or boundary is too far & even simple or traditional can stand out and become something spectacular.

In my eyes, everything has to be fabulous, always in all ways.... and that's exactly what you get with Ellie Mellie Photography. Hi! I truly believe that photography is not about just snapping images, but capturing beautiful, often unexpected moments. My focus lies in documenting clients lives and their milestones authentically.

Photography has always been my passion - so much that I left my full time job in education to launch my own business. I grew up between Paraguay and Spain and have travelled the world from a very young age which fuelled my passion for photography and video. Having lived in Paraguay, Argentina, Spain, England, France, Indonesia and Australia, photographic opportunities have been plentiful. My style portrays the laid back nature of beach culture and lifestyle, with sustainability and environmental awareness being the core values of brands I love to work with. From working for travel empire Club Med in Bali to international surf fashion brand ROXY in Australia, no matter the project I am committed to capturing the essence of your brand through imagery and... When I am not working, you can find me enjoying a morning surf or snorkel, having a cup of hot coffee or camping up and down the coast looking for peeling waves. Always with a camera in hand ready to capture all the beautiful moments that life has to offer. I'm a Southridge High graduate of 2023 and VUJC graduate of 2024. I was born and raised in CO but made the move to IN in 2020. I am a local photographer in southern IN. I love Jesus, people, flowers, anything sweet and carby, artsy, and taking meaningful pictures!

I've always had a passion and sweet spot for photography so I decided to teach myself more about it and invest in my own small side-hustle! I love making people feel confident and beautiful. I pray before every photoshoot that through my lens and photos you can see yourself how God sees you - beautiful, purposeful, and special.
