Ever since I was a little girl I was raised to be tough. Being the youngest of four was a blessing in disguise, although if you had asked me ten years ago, I would have considered it a curse. Without my older brothers to toughen me up and instill bravery in me, I doubt I would be a student at Auburn University today. Going out-of-state is terrifying and not very common, especially when the distance is over 1750 miles. It is hard to do since it is a long distance away from loved ones and the comfort of home that requires long travel to return. Luckily for me, my upbringing gave me the strength to make that leap and move across the country to experience what the rest of the country has to offer.

My roots were the reason I was able to chase my dreams. As hard as that initial goodbye was, my family chose to be selfless and rather than begging me to stay home, encouraged me to take the chance and make the most of my opportunities. No amount of thank you's and gratitude will never be enough because although I miss them deeply their support helped me find my home away from home in Auburn. Not only have I found a home in the state Alabama, but a one within the Auburn family. Being a young adult away from family is difficult, but the Auburn family is a prime example of Ohana. I have created bonds unlike no other centered around the components of kindness, support, love, and optimism.

Auburn has been one of my biggest blessings and I am so appreciative for the possibly to know and love it, and more importantly call it home. I have a comprehensive list of personal goals that I aim to achieve throughout my lifetime. Some of these goals include establishing a stable foundation to build a successful career and start a family, traveling to seek new experiences, continuing my commitment to volunteering to make a positive impact, and... Regarding settling down and building a career, I aspire to start my adult life in either my home state of Arizona or somewhere in the Southeast, as both places hold a special place in... Traveling has always been a passion of mine, and while I have not ventured abroad since childhood, I am eager to explore more domestic and international destinations, with a particular interest in visiting Switzerland,... Volunteering has been a significant part of my life, steaming from dedicating my time to various community initiatives within Arizona including but not limited to local charities, food banks, and churches.

This commitment has continued through college and is a value I plan to uphold post-graduation. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to me, focusing on nurturing both my mental and physical well-being. I am dedicated to making mindful choices in my diet and lifestyle to ensure a positive state of mind and body. These are a few goals that reflect my aspirations for personal growth and fulfillment that I intend on focuins to achieve for years to come. My professional goal for my junior year is to apply for an internship in the event industry that focuses on event rentals, wedding coordination, florals, and design. An internship would be a great learning opportunity that will give me a taste of how to plan events and see an event through while challenging me as a professional.

Upon graduation, I intend to pursue a career working in the wedding and special event industry utilizing my passion for organization, creativity, and attention to detail to create memorable and seamless events for clients. Each event presented challenges for my attention to detail, organizational skills, budgeting, and creativity—which are essential qualities in the industry and beneficial for me to face. I am grateful for the chance to coordinate these events because they were instrumental in developing my planning abilities and deepening my dedication to the field. Creativity is a valuable skills because I can think outside the box nd have a broadened perspective when approaching tasks or designing things. Effective Communication Skills are vital for me to be able to conveying information clearly and be able to collaborate with others. Multitasking and Time-management are essential in fast-paced environments such as hospitality since I can remain productive and meet deadlines.

Being Client-focused demonstrates a commitment to meeting the needs of customers and building relationships to present exceptional service. Proficiency in Social Media Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Snapchat are increasingly important with today's digital footprint, especially with marketing and networking. Moreover, Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Platforms such as Docs, Drive, Sheets, Excel, and Microsoft 365 are essential for efficient document creation and analysis, and remaining organized while completing tasks. Each of these skills build who I am as a professional, and I am always looking to learn more and make this list even stronger. Out of the endless personal traits I could have chosen, I tediously selected these ten because I felt I embody these qualities in all my actions and was confident could list and describe them... Since the age of 14, I worked with the Arizona Foster Care system, which truly sparked my love for helping others. When I came to Auburn I rushed a sorority not only for the social aspect but also to keep the spark for service and philanthropy. My sorority partners with three philanthropies and I have gotten heavily involved with all of them helping raise money and awareness to help save the lives of children and give them more of a... During my freshman year, I fundraised and helped raise over $3000 alone for the Huntsman Cancer Institute Research across the Auburn campus because I knew a fellow peer battling cancer and watched the miracles...
