Class 1: Introduction to Gardening Class 2/1 Overview: Discover the many benefits of gardening, from improving your health and relieving stress to enjoying fresh, homegrown produce. This session will provide a foundational understanding of what it means to garden sustainably and how to get started. Essential Tools: Learn about the basic tools every gardener needs, including gloves, trowels, pruners, and watering cans.
These tools will form the core of your gardener’s toolbox and make your gardening journey easier and more enjoyable. Activity: Create a "Gardener’s Toolbox" list. Take a moment to think about which tools you already have and which ones you may need. Share a photo or video of your toolbox setup and exchange ideas with classmates to inspire each other. Otherwise, simply post a comment to share your progress. The MIND has three standard protocol interventions that can be used across each tier of instruction; however, there are times that educators may want to select other intervention options.
This section of the website contains a decision making guide and intervention materials that teachers can download to remediate computation deficits. The goal of this process is to determine the student's intervention needs and guide the educator to select an empirically-validated intervention to increase computation proficiency. To begin, download and read the MIND: Computation Decision Making Guide. Step 1: Assess & Identify the Problem To begin, test the student in computation skills that the student is expected to know. It is recommended that students are tested in all of the operations that have been taught as oftentimes many students are moved to new skills before mastery is achieved.
Testing overview and directions can be found on page 2 of the M.I.N.D. 2.0: Computation Decision Making Guide. After assessing the student on target skills record the student's scores and compare to performance standards on page 3 of the MIND: Computation packet. Use these scores to answer the questions on the flowchart located on page 4 and identify the appropriate intervention for the student. The MIND: Computation packet uses the Instructional Hierarchy to appropriately match patterns in student responding to recommended intervention procedures. A detailed explanation for why you are selecting a specific intervention is located on page 5.
Step 3: Select & Implement the Intervention I draw energy from communicating with and leading various people. I find fulfillment in listening to diverse opinions, harmonizing them, and achieving a positive outcome. As a result, I am not afraid of learning new languages or being placed in new environments; in fact, I enjoy these experiences. I enjoy leading others, and I have gained confidence through my experience in leadership roles where I guided teams. I am also a passionate individual.
I love taking on new challenges, experiencing different cultures, and traveling, all of which I find fulfilling. Additionally, I approach my academic pursuits with the same enthusiasm. I take great satisfaction in engaging in productive activities, and I feel most fulfilled when I can efficiently achieve my goals. I believe my strengths lie in my leadership abilities, my skill in planning, and my composure in the face of failure. When I previously held a leadership role, I was able to create systematic plans and ensure that projects were completed successfully with my team before deadlines. I hope to leverage these strengths in my future career, where I am eager to contribute and work diligently.
I believe that my rational and composed nature, combined with my extroversion and ability to communicate effectively, are qualities that set me apart. I try to prioritize reason over emotion in my thinking, which allows me to approach situations calmly and pragmatically. Additionally, I enjoy expressing my thoughts and emotions verbally, and my ability to articulate them in a composed manner is one of my strengths. This project is by far my most constructive and diverse piece yet. I've used so many different techniques, theories, and more in order to get the outcome I have. this is my proudest personal work as I've culminated every piece of knowledge I've made so far even if some was lost in the process.
I also believe this project has truly awakened the better academic version of myself in which I am able to work to my almost full potential. Throughout this course I was learning 3ds max for 1 year and a half. After this I decided to start using blender which I really know was a good decision. This is because throughout my learning process with 3ds max I learned a decent amount and was able to make an adequate outcome with slow but consistent progress. However, in the half year of practicing blender every practical session I have been able to greatly surpass my skills I had accumulated in 3ds max which I am very surprised by but greatly... This would have to do with the fact that most software is translatable but there are large differences between.
I will be looking back on this project as my big step towards a more professional perspective on research, planning, and practical. My inspirations and research heave heavily related to my current interests in media I’m enjoying at the moment, one of which I speak of a lot is Demon Slayer and Japanese culture in general. I’m glad I looked into this as I’ve appreciated anime and action style media for a very long time, and it feels great to have output my own version of these. I wish I was able to model my own assets to truly show my ideas for the character and weapon etc. despite this I think I’ve gotten as close as possible to what I would’ve liked to make, asset wise. I did want to recreate a lot of the feelings/ moods of the scenes in demon slayer.
I believe the way they did this is through the look of the background and environments. Mainly using hues and certain locations like woodland. I did achieve this in the end quite well which I’m happy with. I used specific lighting and mist which took a few hours to perfect, but I got there eventually and its very similar to demon slayers woodland scenes which is exactly what I wanted There are many things I would like to improve with this project but that can be said about all of my previous works before, and this mindset will continue as all work I have... I would like to specifically improve my animation skills as I’m not able to make smooth and appealing movements as a lot of them look quite robotic and uncomfortable but as you can see...
The lightning was one of the most troublesome assets in this piece, as I found it difficult to balance the elements of procedural movements while also keeping the lightning under control to keep it... This also came into account when needing to edit the size and shape of the lightning which never seemed to want to work with me. As the shape of the lightning is determined by a 3d texture influencing the topology of the lightning. to begin with, I was very excited to have such wide freedom to create what I truly wanted. as being an art student for 2 years previously to this course it wasn't very enjoyable to be told to make a personal creative outcome but be restricted by material or topic that may... but with this project, it was free to roam, along as it related to games development which Is a fine restriction obviously as I have a major interest in this already.
due to recent enthusiasm toward anime and the Japanese culture in general I wanted to have this as one of my main inspirations for my idea. Around this time, I saw a video on the TikTok app which showed a mock-up sketch of a battle between two characters, one of which was a swordsman. this was a huge push for my idea as I now knew I wanted to make a fight scene of sorts with the Japanese culture/ design infused into it. after a few days of theory, thinking about how I would make this outcome, I then realised animating a whole combative scene between two assets going back and forth would take way more than... I confirm that the work on this website is entirely my own and does not include any work completed by anyone other than myself, except where clearly stated otherwise, and that sources have been... I'm a Junior in high school taking digital design classes.
I make projects mainly for my class or friends asking me to make something for them. I also use it in my other six classes for random assignments. I also have a part-time job, which helps with time management. Also a varsity gymnast we just got 3d in the state. I help teach my grandma and mom how to use Photoshop. Im certified in Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and Adobe Express.
