The UTSA Libraries works with our partners to provide research, teaching, and writing support for UTSA Graduate Students. Be sure to make use of all of these valuable resources! Your Librarian is the subject specialist for your academic department or program and is your first point of contact for research support. Knowing what kind of projects are being funded can be helpful. See the following links to past Federal awards. You can place holds on items that are checked out and on items that are on the shelf.

Items on the shelf will be retrieved within 24 hours and held at General Help/Circulation Desk on Level 3 for pickup. For more information about holds go to https://lib.byu.edu/faq/244799/. The L. Tom Perry Special Collections offers access to primary resources and rare, one-of-a-kind materials on level 2 of the library. They also provide digital online access to some of their collections via the library website. BYU graduate students may check out up to 75 items for a period of 13 weeks, and renew items online two times. For more information about borrowing privileges and polices go to http://lib.byu.edu/about/checkout-privileges/. You may check out materials at the General Help/Circulation Desk on Level 3 or at any of the Help Desks located on each level of the library. There are also self-checkout machines available on Level 3 near the south entrance and the General Help Desk. Request books and articles from other libraries via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Access to electronic resources is most reliable when you connect to the university's VPN first. If you have difficulty accessing an electronic resource, contact Ask-a-Librarian. Our librarians provide research data support across the research life cycle, including support for finding and accessing data; preparing data; managing and curating data; publishing data; and meeting funder and publisher requirements. We offer consultations for individual researchers, as well as for labs and research teams, and partner in proposal development. Love Library loans camcorders, cameras, laptops, and other digital equipment. You'll also find 3D and large format scanners, a One Button Studio for making videos, and computers with specialized multimedia software for multimedia projects at Love Library.

Other campus libraries offer selected equipment, and we provide expert help in using the hardware and software. UNL's Digital Commons is the second largest institutional repository in the United States. It is an open-access collection of UNL research publications, presentations, and learning objects. We also partner with teachers and researchers to deliver content through the Image and Multimedia Commons and provide a long-term home for research data in the UNL Data Repository.
