Image: Damien Eagers The latest DTIF call has funded 27 projects in total ranging from AI, healthcare, advanced manufacturing to climate. Seven new projects have received a collective funding of nearly €39m under the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF), taking the total awarded as part of the latest call to a record €159m. The newest projects to join DTIF’s call seven range from medtech to life sciences, with the largest award this time around exceeding €9m. Ainm, a collaborative project between University College Dublin (UCD), Microsoft, Dell and a range of Irish companies – including Deciphex, Wavescope and xWave Technologies – received the largest funding award at €9.1m. The project aims to create hospital-ready AI-based decision support solutions.
