Civics website makes teaching the Constitution manageable, meaningful Pros: The videos are solid and are extended with multiple materials connecting the Constitution to current events. Cons: There's no built-in differentiation, and while the lessons have a variety of videos, illustrations, and photos, the website itself is lacking. Bottom Line: Go for the videos, stay for the lessons: Annenberg Classroom saves teachers' prep time when teaching the Constitution, current events, or other civics lessons. Group classes and individualized tutoring offered for free online on a weekly basis. Children worldwide come together to interact in these classes and tutors are paired to individual students to ensure the creation of meaningful connections for learning. These courses are meant to be inclusive to those historically excluded from educational opportunities, like those who are neurodiverse, speak English as a second language, or come from under-resourced communities.

A free resource page for educators is also provided. HippoCampus.org is a free, core academic website that delivers rich multimedia content–videos, animation, and simulations–on general education subjects to middle-school and high-school teachers and college professors, and their students, free of charge. Teachers project HippoCampus content during classroom learning and assign it for computer labs and homework. Students use the site in the evenings for study and exam prep. Users do not need to register or log in to use the site. As an open resource for personalized learning, HippoCampus.org was designed as part of a worldwide effort to improve access to quality education for everyone.

Open Learn provides you with free courses that increase confidence and develop the skills needed to enter higher education and succeed with learning. Open Learn provides students and teachers with course description, course, content, and course reviews, along with a video explanation. The courses range from an introductory level to an advanced level. In its most recent website review, Education World bestowed upon Annenberg Classroom a grade of A+, calling it “a rich resource for teachers and students of civics and government” and applauding Annenberg Classroom’s content...
