Notebook: https://github.com/MushroomFleet/unsorted-projects/blob/main/240406_V100_hollowstrawberry_Lora_Trainer_XL.ipynbclick the "open in colab" buttonWe will be using my forked notebook originally developed by HollowstrawberryYou must specify a Project name, eg "myLora" Then in Google Drive create "Loras" and then inside "myLora" to match your project name. Inside create the "dataset" folder, which will hold the image/text pairs.google drive dataset path: Datasets should be matching pairs of images with text files of matching filenames. The text files contain the captions for the image they are paired with. if you have subsets, you can enable "recursive" under buckets and latents caching, this will read the contents of all the folders in your dataset path.I have preset the Fork to work well with... This will run well on a V100 instance, that should be accessible on the Free Tier.
Be aware that a lot of images takes a lot of time, and you will be kicked for inactivity on free tier. Add your project as described then adjust the image repeats according to the instruction. This is the bare minimum to start a training. Personally i train A100 at batch 30, so my exact settings may not be suitable for a T4. You should always adjust the Learning Rate with your Batch size. If you lower the Batch size, make sure to lower the Learning Rate while increasing the Epoch's.
The LR adjustment is dependent on what you are training, so the tuning is to your taste. A solid starting point is provided with the April Fork. UPDATE: https://civitai.com/articles/4121/sdxl-lora-training-guide-2024-feb-colabNew article for 2024 with colab link and video walkthrough :)If you want to train SDXL Lora feel free to use my Fork of Linaqrufs trainer:https://github.com/MushroomFleet/unsorted-projects/blob/main/Johnsons_fork_230727_SDXL_1_0_kohya_LoRA_trainer_XL.ipynbYou gotta put in your huggingface token as... After that remember to set the filename for your Lora. The Notebook is currently setup for A100 using Batch 30. Using V100 you should be able to run batch 12.
Using T4 you might reduce to 8. Keep in mind you will need more than 12gb of system ram, so select "high system ram option" if you do not use A100.The defaults you see i have used to train a bunch... so when it updates, you must go to the Authors site which is linked in the Notebook.
