The second assignment in my (CCTS) journey. Each group will be given a specific space and we were required to draw out the plan view, section and elevation view of the area. Our given space was C5 (meeting room). First, we are required to measure all the size of space and furnitures.

We share our measurement with out groupmate to lessen the burden of measuring everything in the space. From this assignment, i learned how to do labeling in orthographic drawing and also the meaning of the label.I learned the technique to present and describe variety of issue by using visual communication.I also... to measure and share the information that everyone get.I hope that I can present issue more better through visual. To construct a 1:1 functional bamboo structure that serves a purpose that has been given to the team. First, learn about the composition of bamboo and how to join it. research on ergonomics and anthropometry is also important.

Examine concepts with mockup models. Create a 1:1 bamboo structure to be installed in Kebun Komuniti USJ2 using our expertise of bamboo, anthropometrics, and ergonomics. Additionally, our structure must accommodate the needs and preferences of the park's patrons. When the construction is finished, make presentation boards with the structure's drawings on them to deliver the presentation. My team was assigned the function of Safekeeping. Throughout the process, we have learned about teamwork, management, structure, ergonomics, anthropometrics, and a bunch of stuff.

We did a site visit pre-construction and we found out that our site is a little more challenging than the other groups because of the client's needs. Therefore, we brainstormed about the design and concerned about the possibility to built the structure out. This is actually my favorite assignment for the semester. We spend two weeks for making models, planning, analysis, and discussions and another two weeks constructing the actual 1:1 scale bamboo. From morning till midnight, I have been through a lot physically and mentally. Our design went from A all the way to Z from the beginning, this made me more aware of the importance of good planning and a good leader.

In real-world construction, everyone must work together and demonstrate their professionality to ensure the quality of the building. Therefore, I think teamwork and communication also took a really important role in a team. In that sense, our group doesn't do a good move actually, we felt really upset when our structure doesn't work on the actual presentation day. But at the same time, our tutor Ms. Sze Ee gave us many motivations and comfort us, I think she is a very good tutor. Although this assignment is really tiring, I gained a lot from it.

Overall, I am still happy with it. To start my video I wanted to include a clip of an elevator that opens and reveals a scene of nature. To create this I first added a mask around the door and added key-frames on the door. This effect took a long time to create about 2 hours of just adjusting the mask per frame so that the clip would move smoothly. In this project, I plan to use intertitles for my video in certain parts to enhance the narrative of my work that will support my voice over. I created effect was created in After effects long ago for a past project but decided to reuse it for this project and changing it to fit the style of this work.

Another important element to my work is split screens as I feel that this effect would be perfect for showing different scenes at the same time which would go well with the feeling of... The use of traditional video techniques such as split-screen with 360 motion video has interesting effects for example I used the movements of the 360 video to move along with the split-screen. I used the spinning video as if it was a cog pushing the grid along the screen which creates a dynamic effect not seen if just using normal flat video. To create this effect I used After Effect in which I proceeded to create 4 rectangular shapes that would link with a horizontal and verticle black line. Using After Effect's keyframe animation tool I keyed out actions that the grid would take. I intentionally made sure that the clip started with one video and ended with another so that I can seamlessly transition into another scene without split-screen easily.

I plan to use two scenes utilising split screen one that represents the confused mental state and the other a more calmed one. To represent this I made sure that the transitions were smooth with the changing of scenes to be slow and with no more than 2 screens appearing at a time. I wanted to create a sense of speed in my video without needing to use time-lapse or time remapping so I came with a solution to splice up the video to make it look... My (CCTS) journey has sadly come to an end... I met many new friends and learned so much throughout this journey. I am so grateful for the people who helped me along the way, my friends, teammates, lecturer, and tutor - Mr.

Paul. Thank you for the greatest times! ciao~ Along my entire (CCTS) journey, I am glad and grateful that I have acquired all the TGCs above. It is true that many of us, including me had went through ups and downs throughout the entire (CCTS) journey, but all the hardwork and teamwork paid off. I am definitely able to think more creatively and critically outside the box.

Besides that, I have learnt to not procrastinate and finish off all my tasks last minute. Although the assignments were painful and hard to complete, I enjoyed using all my brainpower and creative juices on each and every assignment. From the bottom of my heart, I am eternally grateful and thankful to be experiencing this entire journey This assignment is divided into two main parts. Part A requires you to form a group comprising 4-5 members. Together, you will be tasked with constructing a play structure with specific dimensions of 4000mm (length) x 3000mm (width) x 3000mm (height).

Once the play structure is completed in Part A, Part B will involve creating detailed visual representations based on the outcome from Part A. Specifically, each member will need to produce one floor plan drawing, two elevation drawings, and one section drawing of the constructed play structure. As Part A of the assignment is a group project, we are required to collaborate with other members to finish the work. To expedite the process, we decided to stay at school until midnight, working diligently on the structure. We aimed to complete the construction as quickly as possible, allowing us to move on to the drawing phase sooner. The pressure to finish promptly was further intensified by the upcoming independent learning week, during which the group would disperse temporarily.

Since we couldn't pass the model to each member due to everyone returning to their respective hometowns, we were motivated to complete the project at a faster pace. Finally, we success to finish our model. >< Without hesitation, I began working on my floor plan, elevation, and section drawings. Collaboratively, we supported one another in this task to ensure consistency in our drawings and measurements, showcasing the strength of our teamwork. I am genuinely grateful for the examples provided by the lecturer, as they helped clarify the assignment and guided us on drawing symbols, particularly in the floor plan.

This group assignment serves as an opportunity for us, the students, to build upon and expand our understanding gained from Assignment 1. Our primary objective is to take the knowledge we've acquired and apply it to the creation of a new building, starting entirely from the ground up. Through this assignment, we are tasked with conceptualizing and developing a building project, effectively translating theoretical concepts into tangible architectural design. By integrating the lessons learned in Assignment 1, we aim to craft a coherent and innovative structure that reflects a deep comprehension of design principles, material applications, spatial configurations, and other critical elements. This collaborative effort encompasses various stages, from initial ideation and schematic planning to refining the design and eventually presenting a comprehensive architectural proposal. Through this hands-on experience, we not only reinforce our theoretical understanding but also cultivate practical skills in architectural design and project development.

Ultimately, the assignment empowers us to synthesize our academic knowledge into a creative and functional real-world application. This group assignment seamlessly continued the work initiated in Assignment 1. In this phase, we divided our original team into two equal halves, and each group embarked on crafting an entirely new architectural model from the ground up. To encapsulate our in-depth research and analysis, we harnessed the power of eight A3 presentation boards. These boards became canvases upon which we skillfully showcased a wealth of information related to design principles: viewsight, parti, circulation, structure, repetition, context, and balance. Our aim was to succinctly convey our comprehensive understanding of these principles and their integration into our architectural vision.
