The Netflix blockbuster from Norway has the notable distinction of being the most expensive Nordic film ever made.

When a giant troll emerges from a mountain, the group of surviving scientists from the first movie is left with no choice but to befriend another troll to stop it. Less explosive is Kate Winslet’s directorial debut, Goodbye June. Written by her son, Joe Anders, the Christmas-themed drama centers on siblings who are confronted with their ailing mother’s deteriorating health. Goodbye June begins streaming on December 24 after a limited theatrical release. There are still a couple of Netflix shows to get to, including Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season 2.
