Dublin City University will welcome over 4,000 new students this September. The university has seen a sustained demand across its engineering, nursing, mathematics and some business undergraduate programmes. Those seeing particularly strong interest, reflected in their increase in points, include Electronic & Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Nursing (General), Nursing (Mental Health), Actuarial and Financial Maths and Accounting and Finance. The DCU Futures programmes have also seen growth. This suite of innovative programmes has been developed under Pillar 3 of the Human Capital Initiative (HCI), supported by the National Training Fund and industry partners. Speaking about the CAO 2024 offers, Professor Daire Keogh, President of Dublin City University said:
“I am very pleased to see the continued growth in demand for DCU courses in this year’s CAO offers. This reflects the high quality of our programmes, which are designed to prepare excellent, future-ready graduates. With Ireland’s highest graduate employment rate, DCU students can be confident of a bright future.” Over 600 of DCU’s new students have already accepted places at the University through routes other than this year's Leaving Certificate, including those with Further Education qualifications, mature students and students taking up deferred...
