Econ 102 Principles Of Economics Micro Palomar College
Welcome to Microeconomics! This semester we will cover the basics of all things micro and learn the tools of understanding the economics you hear on the news. Our course is an in-person course, meaning we will meet in person for all class sessions. In addition to our class time, I will also be available to meet with you digitally throughout the semester! This course will introduce you to the basics of microeconomics and we will look at how these principles impact our daily lives. Some of the topics we will explore this semester include monopolies, the impact of advertising, game theory (yes, there are games involved!), health care -- plus so much more!
If any of this sounds daunting, don't panic! Everything can seem scary until you begin - economics is no different. (What is a Course Outline of Record? It is the campus document which describes the basics of what every section of Econ 102 will cover...we won't be using the books listed here though. You can think of this document as a guide to the topics we will cover this semester!) Check out this short video for how to login to Canvas.
Remember, our class will not display until after Jan 26th! While we will be meeting in-person for all class sessions, our course material will be found online on Canvas. You will find the link for Canvas at the top of every Palomar College webpage, or directly by clicking here. If this is your first time using Canvas, don't panic! Everything is fairly straightforward (that being said, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions - no matter how simple they may seem!). Once you log in to Canvas, you will have access to all of your courses for the semester.
