MATERIALS NEEDED: • Jeopardy PowerPoint • A small dry erase board or 1 sheet of paper per group with corresponding writing utensil • Timer (optional) DETAILED EXPLANATION: • Divide the class into 2 or 3 groups, designate team names if desired or keep default Team A, Team B, & Team C.
• A different pair (*recommended) or person from each team will answer a question so distinguish a section for who will answer each time o For example, my classrooms are separated in groups of... I bring up the first 2 chairs in each group. When it is time for the next question everyone rotates forward. • Briefly read the category names of each type of question. • Explain how to answer the questions. After reading the question to completion give them about 15 seconds to write down the answer and bring it face down to the front (or any designated area).
Any team with the correct answer gets point. Any wrong answer is negative points. Not submitting an answer is zero points. First team with the CORRECT answer can choose the next question. If NO correct answers, teams still rotate; the team who chose the question from the last time will choose again. • Go through one question type and answer in the demo to understand how to answer each style of question.
• Now try the real thing! Do Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine which group picks the first question. • FINAL Jeopardy – Answer a different question, and bet any amount of points.
