They are intended for a global audience and you will notice some differences between our Engage site and the sample site used in the course. The video shows a standard Moodle site using standard Moodle features. We have added many custom features to our site. Our site (Engage.mcpss.com) is not so much that can't follow along, but do be aware that you will see several activities in our site that are not covered by the videos.

Also, you'll notice some basic navigation differences that make our site even easier to use. Turn editing on/off - the site in these videos Click in the section where you want the quiz to appear Minimum requirement - give the quiz a name (this will become the link for the students to click) There are many options for how the quiz can be delivered, but the default settings may be close to what you want and only require that you customize a few things.

See below for description of the default quiz settings. • Save and Display (rather than simply Save) • Add (under “Shuffle” at far right) > choose “+New Question” • Turn editing on (the green editing button at the top of the page) • Click “Add an activity or resource” - this button appears in each topic section when editing is turned on • Choose an activity or resource (from the Activity Chooser) - Most will show a short description/help panel, with a link to more help

• Fill out a form - All resources and activities have a settings page (very form-like). Some activities have more options than others, with many of the less-used settings collapsed. Click "Expand all" to see all of possible settings. Be sure to click one of the Save buttons at the bottom. These are the general steps for adding most types of activities and resources to your course. The settings page forms will vary, depending on the activity your select, but most have a similar structure.
