We believe that “program platforms always change, but the logic never changes,” that is why we, KMITL went into the creation of 42 Bangkok where creation truly begins. An expert programmer is one who can move our country towards an era of digital transformation and Thailand 4.0, which can then lead us to become a leader of the ASEAN. Here, we provide a chance to everyone who needs to show their programming talent for creating an innovative world. We also aim to have a truly international center, providing opportunities without any ethnic boundaries. It is our great opportunity to be a part of the 42 network to incubate IT talent in order to have the world-class programmers. 42 THE NETWORK 96, boulevard Bessières75017 Paris

“During the Piscine, we sometimes invite a guest speaker to talk about the IT world or their careers. Some of our candidates are not in the IT field: linguistics, business, architecture… We give them some perspective to inspire them, motivate them, and we talk to them about the salaries!”Chaiyan JettanasenDirector of 42... 42 Bangkok’s inception dates back to March 2019 when the campus’s president, inspired by 42’s unique peer-to-peer learning model, embarked on a mission to introduce it to Thailand. After a year of preparation, including setting up computer labs and other facilities, the campus was officially launched in February 2022. The job market for IT professionals in Bangkok is booming, and 42 Bangkok ensures its students are well-prepared to seize these opportunities. The campus maintains strong ties with Thai tech companies and offers students a chance to connect with industry leaders, like Axons, agricultural leader, and CDG, in the top 3 best IT companies in Thailand.

No teachers, no classes. You are the boss of what you learn. Our school have large open spaces full of iMacs computers. Besides, it’s open 24/7 Our curriculum is entirely project based. These projects have been carefully created by experts, becoming increasingly more difficult, to challenge our students no matter their level!

The groundwork of Peer-Learning is group work. Students will have to confront each other, trade and learn ideas from one another. Students can develop their autonomy and expertise through a gamified experience. The projects and the progress of the students are structured like a video game with a level system. After 42 Bangkok you can go anywhere. Start your own company, join the aerospace, or even advance the field of programming.

The sky is the limit! Accueil » Interviews » “Expanding People’s Minds” My background is in electrical engineering and as the Director of 42 Bangkok, I have enough of the authority to do what I want. For example, I would like to provide educational opportunities for both Thai students and international learners. Thanks to my position, I have the autonomy to execute my plans and contribute to the development of our students! After finishing high school, I went to study…in France!

I stayed 10 years; the first year in Besançon to study French and the following years in Lyon. My undergraduate profile started in the Electrical Engineering Program at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) de Lyon, then I did my Ph.D. at the École Centrale de Lyon. After that, I went back to KMITL for the start of my career as a lecturer and researcher. I took the opportunity to become the vice-president for International Affairs of KMITL for 7 years, and then worked on how we could bring 42 to Bangkok… and here I am now! First of all, I think all 42 values are important.

If I had to choose just one, it would be adaptability. For me, it reflects that the 42 style of learning is still quite new for us. We all have to adapt with this new method — imagine a program with no teacher at a university! Lucky for us, 42 teaches us to learn to adapt to this change, then to adapt to everything else, so when you start working, you can already adapt to your company. It’s not that we encounter resistance. It’s more a question of expanding people’s minds to another way of learning.

It was the most difficult thing at first, because they needed to understand and accept the 42 learning style. Even if 42 Bangkok does not have alumni yet, we can see the success they have in France and in other countries! What does a 42 campus at the heart of a booming South-East Asian city look like? 🤔 We sat down with Chaiyan Jettanasen, Director of 42 Bangkok to discuss the Thai capital, the 42 Bangkok campus and the IT/Tech job market in Thailand. 🇹🇭 Make sure you check out our article below! ⬇️ #42Network #42Bangkok #Born2Code
