25 August 2025, New York -- Statement on behalf of the European Union and its Member States delivered by H.E. Ambassador Hedda Samson, Delegation of the European Union to the UN, on the Report of the UN Youth Office I have the honour to speak on behalf of the European Union and its Member States. The Candidate Countries North Macedonia*, Montenegro*, Serbia*, Albania*, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina* as well as, Andorra and San Marino, align themselves with this statement. The EU welcomes the 2025 Report of the UN Youth Office and commends the Secretary-General and the Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs on their leadership in advancing the UN’s commitment to young persons worldwide. We express our appreciation for the Youth Office’s sustained efforts since its establishment in scaling up meaningful youth participation across the UN system.
