Finnish culture and customs. The student is able to tell basic things about himself or herself and about his or her home, working day and leisure time, and to understand similar information in the communication partner’s speech. The student is able to identify the nominal types and nominal declension in familiar texts as well as the consonant change in familiar words. The student knows some basic features about the Finnish language, culture and customs. The student is able to tell about himself or herself using diverse sentence structures in familiar everyday situations. The student is able to use some basic vocabulary in speaking and in writing.
The student can apply familiar grammatical structures following given instructions. The student understands some basic features about the Finnish language, culture and customs. The student is able to apply the expressions and vocabulary he or she has learnt to tell something more about himself or herself and to ask questions about the communication partner’s life. The student is able to acquire vocabulary he or she needs and use it in everyday situations. The student is able to apply the grammar he or she has learnt to new words and expressions. The student expresses interest in the Finnish language, culture and customs.
Your capacity to talk has further developed, your command of the elementary structures has expanded and your vocabulary for everyday life situations has broadened. You are able to participate in everyday communication and read and write short texts in Finnish. You have gained language and culture basic skills to the extent that you are able to use the surrounding language environment to develop your language skills further. Your target level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR is A2.1. pronunciation housing travelling food and drink professions and work expressing place and direction basic structures and vocabulary for everyday needs basic culture elements Contact and distant sessions or virtual course.
