Orange County 4th District Supervisor, Doug Chaffee, is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive event on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 9 am -12 pm at Fullerton Free Church. Join Chair Doug Chaffee in partnership with First 5 Orange County for the 4th District Conditions of Children Community Forum for a review of the 30th Annual Conditions of Children Report. Doug Chaffee is the Fourth District Supervisor and was elected in November 2018 and re-elected in November 2022. The Fourth District includes the Cities of Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, Stanton, portions of Anaheim, and unincorporated communities. Chairman Chaffee sits on several boards, commissions, and committees which are: Prior to his election, Chairman Chaffee twice served as Mayor of the City of Fullerton and served as a Councilmember for a total of 6 years.

While serving on the City Council, he made addressing homelessness, open space and affordable housing his priorities. Chairman Chaffee is a long time public servant serving on several community organizations. Chairman Chaffee is a longtime Fullerton resident, graduating from Fullerton Union High School. He earned a B. A . in Economics from the University of Redlands and a JD from the Northwestern University School of Law.

He is married to his wife, Paulette, who serves as Ambassador of the Orange County Fourth District. They have two sons and two grandsons. Chair Doug Chaffee currently serves as the Fourth District Supervisor of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. He joined the Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors in January 2019. Chair Chaffee was elected to the Fullerton City Council in June 2012 and served as Mayor in 2018. Prior to joining the Council, he served as Chairman of the Fullerton Planning Commission and past president of both the Fullerton United Way and Sunrise Rotary Club.

Active in the Fullerton community, Chair Chaffee served on the board of the North Orange County YMCA and the Advisory Board of Fullerton Interfaith Emergency Service. He is a member of Friends of Jazz and the Sierra Club and was a past recipient of the Mr. YMCA award. In addition to his public service, Chair Chaffee is a Business Attorney, practicing law for more than 40 years in downtown Fullerton. Chair Doug Chaffee is a graduate of Fullerton Union High School in 1961 and graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Redlands in 1965 and a JD from the Northwestern University... At the January 14, 2025 Board of Supervisors meeting I was chosen unanimously by my colleagues to serve as Chair of the Orange County Board of Supervisors this year.

I am honored to have been chosen as Chair for the second time. As Chair, I will continue to develop new initiatives focused on addressing healthcare, homelessness, and public safety. I look forward to working with my fellow Supervisors to advance policies that enhance the well-being and safety of our residents. It has been a pleasure to serve as Vice Chairman with former Chairman Wagner, and I would like to thank him for his leadership and service as Chair these last 2 years. Together, we can make Orange County a safe, healthy, and fulfilling place to live, work, and play– now and for generations to come. At the Metrolink Board of Directors meeting on December 13, 2024 I was elected by my colleagues to serve as Board Chair for a two year term.

As chair of Metrolink, I look forward to supporting Metrolink’s ongoing operational evolution, further advancing ridership recovery efforts and delivering the best possible experience for our customers. There are exciting things ahead for Southern California, and Metrolink will play a pivotal role.
