New Board Members Elected at Membership Meeting Every year, the members of Sentimental Journey come together for our annual meeting. The members of Sentimental Journey are the ultimate governing body for the entire association, so this meeting can be highly impactful. The October meeting was the big opportunity for members to hear from the current Board and executive staff, to learn how the year has gone, and to be updated on plans for the years...

It’s also the best opportunity for the full membership to voice their opinions and ideas, to suggest new developments, and to offer new directions for the organization to consider. The meeting occurred via the ZOOM video conferencing system on October 19, 2025 at 3pm. (Note: the unofficial minutes of the meetings are available using this link; they will become official when approved at the new Board meeting.) President Alan Uhler, Jr. made a detailed presentation which covered six general topics including the results from the 2025 Fly-in in June, a financial report, a membership report, and plans for the 2026 event. Also, three wonderfully-qualified volunteers were nominated to join the Board of Directors and were elected by vote using the "ClubExpress" voting system. The presentation made by Pres.

Uhler also is available for review and download. A Great Week at Sentimental Journey 2025! This was the week that had something for everybody. Sentimental Journey 2025 started slow, with problematic winds, off-and-on rain, and low ceilings. But Thursday the weather gods finally smiled upon Lock Haven, and from then on it was FABULOUS. We enjoyed beautiful flying weather and a flurry of new arrivals crowded the ramp.

By Friday night the attendance set a new record for any recent S-J event. Visitors and campers included people who came to Lock Haven from Florida, Iowa, and even Hawaii. Friday was "Youth Career Day" and we emphasized the opportunities in aviation by hosting recruiters and career advisors from nine local aviation schools, businesses and airlines. Saturday was "Community Day" in Lock Haven and Sentimental Journey joined the fun with free admission for everybody all day. Those folks were entertained with spot-landing contests, a car show, educational forums, food trucks, Young Eagle rides for teens, and Pipers, Cessnas, Stearmans, Aeroncas, a rare Davis monoplane, and a passle of other birds... Now the campground is quiet and we are planning for our 40th rendition, opening on June 8, 2026, roughly one month before Oshkosh.

See you there! Now into our 40th year, this year’s fly-in will be bigger and better than ever. Our vision is to put on the most family-friendly small-town fly-in we possibly can. Our goal is to help both flyers and non-flyers to enjoy the wonder of aviation, and to recognize the scientific, intellectual, and economic benefits aviation has brought to humanity. And, we have a great time while we do that! Sentimental Journey welcomes all flyers and their flivvers, including Aeroncas, Beechcraft, Bellancas, Cessnas, Cirrus, Citabrias, Cubcrafters, Decathlons, Diamonds, Luscombes, Mooneys, Pitts, Stearmans, Stinsons, Swifts, Taylorcraft, Wacos, Vans, and just about anything else with wings.

Videographer Bruce Wallace provided us with this excellent video showcasing the variety of our flying. It was filmed on June 20th, 2025. The week had started stormy and wet, with low ceilings preventing many guests from arriving. But by Wednesday things had improved and for the next four days the flightline was busy with arriving campers, spot-landing contests, historic airplanes, and Young Eagle flights.
