Ever since the construction of a belfry in Länsi-Teisko in 1928, the inhabitants of the small village have wanted to have their very own church. However, they couldn’t afford constructing a church and therefore decided to build a prayer room instead. The sanctuary was designed by Martti Peltomaa and inaugurated 25 September 1966. Today, the prayer room is part of Ylöjärvi Parish. Today, the prayer room serves as a place for services, ceremonies and prayer. The prayer room is open for visitors during services and other events which are listed in the event calender of Ylöjärvi Parish.

The house was built in 1929, and later has been renovated and modernized for present needs. The beautiful log building suits well for organizing celebrations of different sizes, meetings or accommodation. It offers a comfortable setting for 100 guests.

The hall is as high as the building and the acoustics are excellent. For sound reproduction there is a professional-level system available, to which you can connect microphones, computer or karaoke devices. The big hall is downstairs, as well as an entrance hall, kitchen, room for serving the food and toilet. Stairs lead to the upper floor and there is a balcony with seating for 30 people. The balcony has a view to the hall. There is a meeting room in the upper floor as well, which is furnished for gatherings of about 10-15 people.

During celebrations the room works well for example as childrens' playroom. The room has two 120cm wide bed and is available for overnight guests. Beddings and linens are available for four people. The kitchen has been renovated in 2020 to be functional, including e.g. large commercial dishwasher. There is a high-quality dishware set for serving both meals and desserts with wine glasses and different kinds of serving bowls and plates.

There are great parking areas and a sports field in the yard. Länsi-Teiskon rukoushuone on Ylöjärven seurakunnalle kuuluva kirkko/rukoushuone entisen Kurun kunnan Länsi-Teiskossa, noin 37 kilometriä Ylöjärven kirkolta. Kurun kirkolle matkaa on vajaa 20 kilometriä. Länsi-Teisko liittettiin Teiskosta osaksi Kurua vuonna 1954. Kulmakunnan asukkaat olivat puuhanneet omaa kirkkoa jo 1920-luvulla. Viereinen hautausmaa perustettiin vuonna 1924, jolloin rakennettiin myös sen viereinen kappeli.

Kellotapuli rakennettiin korkean kallion laelle vuonna 1928. Kirkon rakentamista vauhdittamaan perustettiin Länsi-Teiskon Kirkkoyhdistys vuonna 1948 ja vuonna 1959 toimitettiin rakennuspuiden keräys alueen taloilta. Kirkon suunnittelutyö annettiin arkkitehti Mikael Nordenswanin tehtäväksi. Projekti kuitenkin keskeytyi rahojen loppumisen vuoksi. Kirkon sijaan päätettiin rakentaa vähäisempi rukoushuone, jonka piirustukset laati Martti Peltomaa. Piispa Erkki Kansanaho vihki rakennuksen 29.

syyskuuta 1966. Länsi-Teiskon rukoushuone oli paljon toivottu länsi-teiskolaisten keskuudessa jo vuonna 1924, mutta valmistui vasta vuonna 1966.

Omaa kirkkoa länsi-teiskolaiset olivat puuhanneet jo vuodesta 1928 lähtien, jolloin rakennettiin kellotapuli. Hautausmaa perustettiin jo vuonna 1924, jolloin myös kappeli rakennettiin. Kirkon rakentamista vauhdittamaan perustettiin vuonna 1948 Länsi-Teiskon Kirkkoyhdistys ry. Vuonna 1959 toimitettiin jo rakennuspuidenkin keräys ja suunnittelutehtävä annettiin arkkitehti Mikael Nordeswanille.

Varat eivät kuitenkaan riittäneet, ja työ keskeytyi. Kirkon sijasta päädyttiin rukoushuoneen rakentamiseen. Piirustukset laati Martti Peltomaa. Piispa Erkki Kansanaho vihki rukoushuoneen 25.9.1966. Seuraavana vuonna kirkkoyhdistys lahjoitti kaiken kiinteän ja irtaimen omaisuutensa Kurun seurakunnalle. Rukoushuone on avoinna tilaisuuksien ja tapahtumien yhteydessä.
