Voters from around the state cast their ballots Tuesday in the general election for the 12 U.S. House seats representing New Jersey, as well as county, local and board of education seats up for election in 2022. For the second year in a row, voters had three ways to vote — either in person during early voting which began on Oct. 29 and concluded Nov. 6, by sending in a mail-in ballot or putting it in a dropbox, or by stepping into a voting booth on Tuesday. At the top of the ticket, Democrats and Republicans are seeking election to 12 Congressional seats at President Joe Biden’s midterm.

The 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in New Jersey were held on November 8, 2022, to elect the 12 U.S. representatives from the state of New Jersey, one from each of the state's 12 congressional districts. Republicans flipped one seat in the 7th district and reduced the Democratic majority in the delegation to 9–3. Democrat Donald Norcross, who had represented the district since 2014, was re-elected with 62.5% of the vote in 2020.[2]

These elections will be conducted using redistricted boundaries. The most at-risk incumbent is Democrat Tom Malinowski (NJ-07). He meets Republican Tom Kean Jr., the Minority Leader of the State Senate. This is a rematch from 2020, when Malinowski won by 1.2%.
