The new Alliance directors, elected on March 7, 2024, to two-year terms, include: Along with Tony Hunter, Chairman and CEO of McClatchy, elected Alliance Board Chair in September 2023, the Board will continue to navigate the challenging media landscape and advocate on behalf of the industry, implementing... “We couldn’t be happier to have the participation of these highly knowledgeable and experienced members of our industry on the Alliance Board, helping to further our mission of preserving and sustaining quality journalism,” said... “In an environment of rampant misinformation exacerbated by new AI technology that threatens to confuse and mislead readers, it is more important than ever to have accurate and reliable content such as that provided... I look forward to working with the full Board to continue to protect and preserve the information we need and rely on to stay engaged and informed.”

Other Alliance Board members continuing in their current terms include: The News/Media Alliance is a nonprofit organization representing more than 2,200, news, magazine and digital media organizations and their multiplatform businesses in the United States and globally. Alliance members include print and digital publishers of original journalism. Headquartered just outside Washington, D.C., the association focuses on ensuring the future of journalism through communication, research, advocacy, and innovation.
