The omnipod app has been a game changer for me! I love being able to manage the pump through my phone instead of carrying two phones around with me all the time. Love it! I’ve had no issues with malfunctioning pods or pod failures related to the app.I only have a couple of small complaints.

First, I would love to be able to turn off Face ID. I’m the only person who handles my phone, which uses Face ID or passcode to open anyway! I really dislike that in the middle of the night if I need to use the app I have to either turn on the light so that it can see my face or press... This should be an OPTIONAL feature of this app. Second, I really miss being able to record where my last pod sites were. It’s an absolute need for us diabetics so that we can rotate our sites appropriately!

i was so looking forward to the ios version of this app, but have been seriously underwhelmed and disappointed with it since getting it. besides the standard bugs and complaints about time consuming verification methods needed to open the app, losing the ability to keep track of pod sites has been disappointing. the fact that i need to tap the glucose area twice to get the keypad to show up is simply irritating, because taking us to a whole new page and not even making the... i finally got switched over to the g7 after months of being without sensors thanks to insurance issues, only to find out that this app isn't compatible with the g7??? this app came addy the same time as g7 integration, if not AFTER, so why can't i use it with the g7??? it's beyond disappointing, but not at all surprising.

I was super excited about not having to carry two phones but if you don’t have a ton of extra memory on your phone I wouldn’t switch. I am currently on a business trip and got a notification that I had to totally reinstall the app. I just put a pod on yesterday & had to throw the pod and insulin completely out due to this reset out of no where. The idea is great, the execution and functionality is a liability and unreliable. I luckily brought some extra pens with me as backups but if you use this app for insulin delivery always plan for an audible. It’s not reliable.

Kind of crazy we live in a time where we have AI technology and this app feels like it was developed on an iPhone 4. Dexcom needs to invest in cloud storage to hold out device info on, not locally taking up real estate on my phone. This isn’t the first time this has happened and luckily I have been home to pivot. 90% of the time you have to have Dexcom g7 app open as well in order to read your BG. The dexacom app almost never shows it. Poor execution with good intentions.

Several improvements over the dedicated controller, but of course the main one is not having to carry a separate device! This is awesome.
