The SDG Transformation Center platform brings together tools and actionable instruments to support SDG data, policies and financing building on the latest insights from science and collaborates with stakeholders and decision makers. Its SDG Index and Dashboards rank countries on SDG attainment and report global SDG progress and an analysis of government efforts towards implementation of the SDGs. Its annual Sustainable Development Report tracks indicators of country-level progress on the six transformations: 1 Universal quality education and innovation-based economy; 2. Universal health coverage; 3.

Zero-carbon energy systems; 4. Sustainable ecosystems, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience; 5. Sustainable cities; and 6. Transformation to universal digital access and services. The SDG Transformation Center is an initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and operates under the leadership of Prof. Jeffrey Sachs.

Created at the halfway point of Agenda 2030, the SDG Transformation Center aims to operationalize the SDGs as an investment and action agenda through the Six Transformations framework. We work with UN agencies, governments, investors and advisory firms to provide tools and a platform for promoting evidence-based action for the SDGs. The Center leverages data and insights but also the convening power of the largest network of researchers and scientists mobilized for the SDGs. Our flagship studies, analyses, and datasets - including the SDG Index - are globally-recognized and credible resources for the policy and investment communities. Last week, I had the opportunity to attend The Knowledge Summit 2025, organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (#MBRF) and UNDP. The event clearly showed the UAI’s strong commitment to advancing knowledge as a force for innovation, education, and building sustainable communities. No wonder that the UAI is among the few countries to have achieved SDG 4, according to the SDSN’s Sustainable Development Report 2025. It was also fascinating to observe the rapid pace of AI integration in shaping the national education system, the future of learning and skills - things are moving fast! A key highlight was the launch of the UNDP’s Global Knowledge Index 2025, which measures and compares the knowledge systems of 195 countries across six dimensions - from education and research to ICT, economy,... And it was great to see that the SDSN Index on countries' support for UN-based multilateralism is integrated under the governance dimension.
