If you’re looking to find truly secular (non-religious) homeschool curriculum resources, here’s a huge list! This list also aims to be progressive, inclusive, and equitable- please give me ALL the feedback, if a resource posted does not fit that description, I will remove it asap! For homeschool laws by state, avoid HSLDA (as they are a group that lobbies against human rights) and check out The Coalition for Responsible Home Education instead. This list of progressive, secular (non religious) homeschool curriculum resources is a constant work-in-progress, so please check back to see updates and send me any I miss any time. I’m also working on a PDF version, please make sure you are on my email list so you are first to know when I get that monster task accomplished. As a secular homeschool parent since 2016, I know it can be challenging to find truly secular curriculum, and the number of times I’ve been told “just omit the scripture part”, are COUNTLESS!

I’m so thankful for all the bloggers, creators and homeschool-parent friends who’ve shared resources with me. If you know of an awesome, completely secular resource that I have not listed, please shout it out below in the comments or email me and I will add it to the linked list. Also, please hold me accountable, if I ever list something and the company, CEO, executive board etc are funding anti-human rights legislation or participating in nationalist nonsense I will absolutely remove the resource regardless... If you have Pinterest I recommend pinning this list so you can come back to it easily any time. Choosing the right homeschool curriculum can feel overwhelming, right? There are so many options out there, and it can be tough to find one that fits your family's values and your child's learning style.

If you're looking for a curriculum that focuses on academics without any religious influence, you might be feeling even more lost. You might wonder where you can find secular homeschooling resources that provide a solid education without promoting any particular beliefs. Many homeschooling families prefer a secular approach, and there are some fantastic curriculum options available. This blog is your guide to understanding and choosing the best secular homeschooling option. We'll explore what secular homeschooling means and why you might choose it, and introduce you to some top-notch resources that can help you create a rich and engaging learning experience for your child. Before diving into curriculum options, it's essential to understand what secular homeschooling means.

Homeschooling, as many of us parents have discovered, needs love, patience, and a bit of adventurous spirit. As a homeschooling mom myself, I deeply understand the importance of choosing the right curriculum. For those of us seeking secular homeschool programs, the task can sometimes feel daunting. But fear not! I’ve compiled a comprehensive guide to help you navigate the diverse landscape of secular homeschooling resources. Secular homeschooling emphasizes an education system that is neutral concerning religious teachings.

The key characteristics include: Christian homeschooling integrates religious education with academic subjects. Finding a secular homeschool curriculum that’s genuinely non-religious, and still engaging and academically solid, can feel like a full-time job. Over time, I’ve tested dozens of options with my son, from preschool through high school, to figure out which ones are truly secular and still fun to teach. This updated guide gathers the programs we’ve personally used and trusted across subjects and grade levels.

Whether you want a complete curriculum, subject-specific materials, or supplements that fit your family’s values, these choices keep learning evidence-based, inclusive, and flexible enough to grow with your child. **This post may contain affiliate links.
