Created for Mental Health America's Back to School campaign, the goal of this animation is to compel people that suspect they have mental illness to take a screening on the MHA site. To achieve this goal we establish an emotional connection by going through symptoms of anxiety. The workload was distributed among a three person team consisting of myself, and fellow designers Holly Galvan and Piper Fields. My roles included concept design, storyboarding, background design, frame by frame animation, and compiling. I animated the portion of video staring at 0:31 and ending at 0:54. In order to make the content inclusive, a version of this animation was made to include audio descriptions.

Accessibility consultant Jean Hanks met with us to discuss the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Audio descriptions are included to make the video ADA compliant. This ensures that people with visual impairments can understand what the content is depicting. https://xd.adobe.com/view/dc886504-14e0-4ec7-a435-c8e8769504d5-89db/ Hailing from the Appalachians of rural east Tennessee, metal virtuoso McKenzie Tucker is the Jim Carrey of music. His studio work includes Etymon by Generation Why, Let’s Get Crazy by Vinny B, and Bee Bong’s self titled album.

Tucker has appeared as a guest performer with Victor Wooten and was the first Belmont student to perform death metal in the Curb Cafe. McKenzie’s live performances are his specialty, where his explosive personality inspires people to shamelessly express themselves through music. McKenzie Tucker has been making a buzz in the music industry with incredible tunes. If you’re ready to feature McKenzie Tucker in any way, please be in touch. Here are a handful of examples of my style of sketching. I am very passionate about this stage in the design process.

I find that this is where I can explore my head and what shapes it comes up with. I strongly believe in having a good hand at sketching above all in any creative process. Throughout the years I have developed my hand-eye coordination to a stage where I can draw a concept with my eyes closed, with an idea in my mind's eye. While waiting in line at the shops, I sketched out this feathered dragon concept and developed it in Photoshop. I believe in this technique of bringing a sketch into Photoshop, as it gives me a full range of tools to grow my doodle into something more believable. Here is an example of a concept sketch that was brought on by the use of thumbnail sketching.

Thumbnail sketches are tiny, detail-less doodles that aid my eye to see the shape of a creature before I see the inner details. I expanded on my favourite thumbnail sketch of this creature, and further developed it into a Photoshop painting (next page). A similar example to the Serpentine Dragon is this Amargasaurus sketch. I enjoy drawing and developing existing ideas into my own to see what different ideas I can come up with. I also really love paleontology and paleoart, dinosaurs are a huge love of mine! I base my creativity around studying God's creations around me and generate ideas depending on what existing animals I have drawn.

I believe in growing a large knowledge base in this, so I can create interesting digital lifeforms.
