(318) 342-1063Fax: (318) 342-1075 The stunning twenty-four million dollar building currently housing the University Library is located on the banks of the scenic Bayou DeSiard. The five-story facility, of approximately 140,000 square feet, seats 2,000 users at study carrels, tables, and in comfortable easy chairs placed throughout the building. When the Library opened on April 12, 1999, the beautiful furnishings included ample shelving to accommodate at least ten years growth. The University of Louisiana at Monroe began as the Ouachita Parish Junior College.

When the College opened in 1931, the Library was housed on the second floor of Brown Hall. Ms. Mary Elizabeth Eason served as the first librarian, managing the initial collection of five hundred books and fifteen periodical subscriptions. ULM Library hours vary according to the University schedule.

Operating hours are posted on the Library Web Page and entrance doors. The building will be locked at closing time. All library transactions must be completed at least 15 minutes before closing time. You can access library resources and services from the University of Louisiana at Monroe Library Web Page. The Web site address is www.ulm.edu/library. Currently enrolled ULM students, faculty and staff can also access the Web Page from off-campus locations.

A User ID and Personal Identification Number (PIN) are required for off-campus access. The User ID for ULM users is your Campus Wide ID (CWID). The PIN is your birth month and birth year in mmyy format. You cannot change your PIN. Study Room Keys = $5/hour or portion of an hour The University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) College of Pharmacy is the only publicly supported comprehensive center for pharmaceutical education, research, and service in Louisiana.

It offers a diverse curriculum, including innovative dual degree programs and a state-of-the-art facility that prepares students for various careers in the evolving healthcare landscape. In addition to its Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, ULM provides specialized programs in Toxicology and offers a robust graduate education.
