Video Based High School Homeschool World History Course
The Epic Moments in World History online course takes students on a year‑long journey from ancient civilizations to today’s global society. Through immersive lessons and virtual excursions, learners explore pivotal moments—from Indus Valley to the Cold War. Epic Moments in World History is one of our full-year high school history classes taught by Todd Edmond where students embark on virtual journeys through time. The course begins with the world’s earliest civilizations—Indus Valley, Mesopotamia, Egypt—and then moves through Greece, Rome, and East Asia. Next, students will dive into medieval Europe, witness the Renaissance, reformation, and the sweeping changes of exploration, science, and Enlightenment. From there, we explore major turning points: the American and French Revolutions, the Industrial Revolution, imperialism, and both World Wars.
Students will also explore 20th-century challenges—decolonization, the Cold War, the race to space, and today’s global issues like human rights and environmental concerns. This course is perfect for self-paced learners who love learning about how the world came to be. Students will sharpen important skills—critical thinking, cause-and-effect analysis, and historical empathy—as they connect big moments in the past to the world we live in now. History is more than the story of past events—it’s the chronicle of people, their decisions, emotions, and viewpoints.
