มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบุรีรัมย์ (อังกฤษ: Buriram Rajabhat University) เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐในกลุ่มมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏ และเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยประจำจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2514 ในนาม "วิทยาลัยครูบุรีรัมย์" ตั้งอยู่ที่อำเภอเมืองบุรีรัมย์ จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบุรีรัมย์ได้เริ่มก่อตั้งเป็น “วิทยาลัยครูบุรีรัมย์” การก่อสร้างได้เริ่มขึ้นเมื่อ 6 ตุลาคม 2514 ด้วยความต้องการของทางราชการและประชาชนชาวจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ นำโดยผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ (นายสุรวุฒิ บุญญานุสาสน์) และสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรของจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ทั้งนี้เพื่อสนองความต้องการของประเทศที่กำลังขาดแคลนวิทยาลัยครูบุรีรัมย์ได้เริ่มก่อตั้งเมื่อเดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2514 โดยได้รับงบประมาณ (ปีงบประมาณ 2515) จำนวน 9 ล้านบาท เพื่อก่อสร้างอาคารเรียน 1 หลัง ตลอดจนโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านถนน ไฟฟ้า และประปา เป็นต้น ในปี พ.ศ. 2547 มีพระราชบัญญัติมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏขึ้นมาใช้แทนพระราชบัญญัติสถาบันราชภัฏ มหาวิทยาลัยบุรีรัมย์จึงมีฐานะเป็นนิติบุคคลทำให้การดำเนินการตามภารกิจมีความคล่องตัวมากขึ้น มีสภามหาวิทยาลัย สภาวิชาการ สภาส่งเสริมกิจการมหาวิทยาลัยและสภาคณาจารย์และข้าราชการพลเรือน เกิดขึ้น การแบ่งส่วนราชการของมหาวิทยาลัยประกอบด้วยสำนักงานอธิการบดีคณะครุศาสตร์ คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ คณะเทคโนโลยีการเกษตร คณะวิทยาการจัดการ สถาบันวิจัย สำนักศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม สำนักวิทยบริการและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ และสำนักส่งเสริมวิชาการและงานทะเบียน มีโครงการจัดตั้งคณะเทคโนโลยีอุตสาหกรรมเป็นหน่วยงานภายใน มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏบุรีรัมย์ได้ดำเนินการขอใช้พื้นที่ราชพัสดุบริเวณตำบลปะคำและตำบลหูทำนบซึ่งเดิมอยู่ในความดูแลของสถานีวิจัยและทดสอบพันธุ์สัตว์บุรีรัมย์ กรมปศุสัตว์ กระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ จำนวน 1,834 ไร่ 1งาน 32 ตารางวา และกระทรวงการคลังได้อนุญาตให้ใช้พื้นที่ดังกล่าวเมื่อเดือน กรกฎาคม 2548 ซึ่งมหาวิทยาลัยกำลังดำเนินโครงการพัฒนาพื้นที่เพื่อจัดสร้างเป็นวิทยาเขต โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อกระจายโอกาสทางการศึกษาไปสู่ท้องถิ่นตามปรัชญาของมหาวิทยาลัย

Buriram Rajabhat University is located on 349 Jira Road, Naimuang sub-district, Muang district, Buriram province near the City Hall. The university is situated on a plot of land covering 297 rai, 1 ngan and 27 square wah. This plot of land was originally used as an airport of the Thai Royal Air Force.
