We used a lot of websites for classes (And I mean including all the subjects) and some are yet similar, same webiste, but we just use it for different purposes, I think the page... This site is used for mostly all of the classes, they show many detail in their videos and get students learning without even knowing it! It's very helpful and very quick too! I mostly like to use it when we have assignments and I want to know something that I forgot, so to do so I watch the videos and re-learn it, it was a helpful... Hello I am Jimmy and this is my E-portfolio. I am in fifth grade at AdVENTURE Stems (Science, Technology, English, Math and Social Study's).

I like AdVENTURE for many reasons. One, they let you use technology all the time. You get to code a game in Flash. I know that learning how to use computers is very important because I live in Silicon Valley. At my old school, we had computers that were older than I am! It would take all of computer lab to load a page.

Compared to my last school, AdVENTURE is better because I only had one teacher there. I had to chop up my school day into different parts. I would only get about 10 minutes of solid learning. Now I get a full hour per period. Sometimes I get to walk to school with a friend that goes to my old school. One day I asked him what he was learning in class and he said the human body.

I was suprised because I learned that 3 months earlier at AdVENTURE. Finally, for me AdVENTURE means lots of science. It's my favorite class because when I grow up I want to be a brain surgeon or a vet. I get to do fun experiments at AdVENTURE. I get way more science now than before. They really focused on math instead of anything else.

I have done many projects this year. In this web site I will tell you one project from each of my classes. For Globaloria, I have my mini game. For science, I have my eco-house with Marek, Rohan, and Alex. CORE, I am explaining my play. Finally for math, I designed a playground.

By definition ADVENTURE is an unusual or exciting experience or activity. In our AdVenture program we learn by doing unusual or exciting activities. We study Language ARts, Social Studies, Math, science and computers through the use of technology, collaborative projects, research on the internet, experiments and other hands-on activities and some exciting field trips. Since we used technology to learn so much this year, I created this e-portfolio to tell about some of my favorite projects. Science and math are my favorite subjects. In this e-portfolio you will find a link to my project on the seasons for science.

I enjoyed this project in particular because I worked really hard on it. The math project I linked to my portfolio is the one we created to study volume and surface area. I espeically liked this project because it combined two of my favorite things--math and minecraft! We often get to do fun projects like this in math. One of the most interesting classes we get to study in the AdVENTURE program is Globaloria. Most 5th grade students don't even get to play computer games, however we get to make games!

Check out the link to my Globaloria page to see the exciting games I created! Our Language arts and Social Studies core was the class in which we 5th graders spent the most time of the day. This was important because we had writing assignments in all of our subjects and language arts was where we learned writing. One project that I want to talk about for math, is "Plan a Party" project, I chose this one because this is one of the projects which I was very proud of, the others... This one was very calming to me and helped me with planning, it's also helped me in buddy-work, I worked in this project with Jenny N. and we both planned a winter themed party together!

I think this project represents my best work because this is one that had my best idea's planned out in them (Well, me and Jenny's idea's.) but the party plan turned out better than... I don't have any proof of this, but you are going to need to take my word for it. Math is so much fun and it teaches you so much on skills we use today. One project I will choose to talk about is one where we would have to sell something ourselves and onate the money to charity. For this project we has the choice of working alone or with partners. I chose to willingly work with another partner, Jenny, and I chose to work in a team since it is very helpful and makes a huge impact on projects and makes them better since...

For this we had to sell atleast ten items and earn money from them. Our sales included 1 dollar for a baggie of three cookies, homemade. Some bags included a both M&M cookies and sugar cookies, while others included just sugar or M&M cookies. Knowing 7th grade and the new rule you wanna remember a few simple steps. On Friday's if you have an iphone or a google account, open up your calander, make sure to add to remind you about bird brain and repeat it ever week, it'll make sure you... Or lose points, do it for blogs too.

Don't try to control the group like a boss. Teamwork is key, or your team will go against you sooner or later. If a team mate isn't working or doesn't want to do work, talk to the teacher privately about it, they'll help you and your partner. Actually do your blog, I can't stress to say you'll never get over it if you forget to do your blog.
