​Help the heroes are people that help people who have been in the army and are no longer able to fight due to mental or physical damage. The help for heroes website needs some improvemet beacause there is no sighn of diversity when browsing the website I only saw two black people and not a single other race this is bad... The charity that we have chosen is mind mind is a charity that helps with the mental state this is good because some of the people who seek help from help for heroes might... this colaboration will be used to advertice both brands and give more awarness. Personally, thiking I think that this will be a very effective collabereation where both charities would benefit. While working on this project, I was able to learn how charities work and run their business in detail from a professional point of view.

This includes developing and expanding ideas to improve the charity’s image to improve its financial standing and grow their target audience. By researching their website, we know that Help for Heroes is charity that that support ex-military veterans and their families. They provide physical recovery services and rehousing. However, the brand lacked in diversity and mental-health support; therefore, we chose Mind as a collaboration as they specialise in psychological welfare. Mind openly provides knowledge about mental health (whereas HFH does not), as well as provide therapy and rehabilitation services. Their website is also very inclusive which is beneficial to HFH to increase their demographic.

This makes them a very reliable brand. Our team has successfully completed all the tasks as we managed to complete the project by the due date. Unfortunately, we had some struggles. A negative would be that due to working online communication was difficult which slowed down our working time due to slow replies. The work ended up not being divided equally as one of the members in the group did not take part in the project, nevertheless we got through it as a team and completed the... Another positive would be that we all developed new/existing skills such as creating a website, research and creating products.

Something we could improve on in the future is our communication skills in order to work systematically for a better result. Help for Heroes (HFH) is a charity for “wounded veterans and their families”. They provide services for visible and non-visible injuries such as clinical services and phycological wellbeing services; specifically, the “Hidden Woods Service”. I like this charity as the military service is considered a taboo subject, and there is a stigma around ex-veterans. There are not many charities with this in their focus which can be hard for ex-veterans and their families to seek help. However, the execution of the charity in terms of presentation in their website needs improvement.

HFH struggles to show inclusivity and diversity on their website which can drive people away. Instead of only showing images of only British Caucasian people on their website, they should include images of people of colour, ethnic backgrounds, cultures and religions. They should also show images of other minorities such as LGBTQ+ and disabled people. This would promote the charity as open minded and trustworthy. The charity could also improve their website by changing the colours and their logo as it looks intimidating (not to mention it is an eye sore). They should also include a customer service tab to talk people through the website, this is to help the elderly who do not know how to use technology well and for people with disabilities.

They should also not hide their mental health tab and have more services available as it is currently very limited; they should have links or referrals to psychological services such as therapy and rehab...
