Short for Andrea, I have gone by Andie for the entirety of my life - leading to a lifelong internal debate of why I even have a formal first name. I hail from a small town in New Hampshire, just along the border of Massachusetts and am a graduate of Boston University. In the last few years I have had the opportunity to work in digital marketing at ecommerce sites, digital agencies, and consumer goods companies. I am a digital marketing specialist and enthusiast and I take great passion in building brands' digital and content strategies. I am driven, determined, and consider myself a lifelong student who is always curious and willing to learn. When I am not working, I love to travel and cook.

I've studied abroad in both Perth, Scotland and Sydney, Australia and have constant travel fever. Last year I was lucky to explore Portugal and also visit Verona Italy during the Vinitaly celebration. While I've gotten to travel quite a bit, Boston is my favorite city in the world and I seem to love it too much to leave. I never tire of exploring areas along Boston Harbor or spending Summer weekends adventuring on Cape Cod. When I'm not traveling, you can find me at home in Charlestown cooking up a new recipe or working off that delicious cake I just made with a nice run along the Charles River. Each new day I try to look at the world in a bright and positive light.

I have discovered that everything is a learning experience and I look forward to the endless possibilities that await me. Please take a look at my resume, references and writing samples. Bachelor of Science in Communication May 2015 Consumer Marketing Specialist October 2017 – present Manage content and communications strategy across Kurgo.com, email program and social media I have been an Old Dominion Student since 2018 and began as a Computer Science major! Though I still have a love for coding and IT, I have found true motivation and passion for helping people. While empathy and personal connection have come to me naturally, I have been working to expand the demographics of people I work with.

Different social characteristics, such as race, class, gender, and culture, all change a person's life and their experiences. In order to be the best Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, and ultimately friend to the people in my life, I strive to constantly grow in my world view. I have been blessed with 5 siblings: one older brother, one younger brother and 3 younger sisters. Being one of the older children in our family, especially the oldest daughter, I have really enjoyed being a mentor and caregiver to them. Now that they are entering their teenage years, our relationship has grown stronger as they are facing new challenges in their lives. We are all very close to each other as well as our parents.

My mom and dad have always stressed "Family first," and that we look out for each other, so we have been very close. I have loved making memories with them all over the years, whether it be car rides full of music and ice cream, or playing in the backyard, my siblings are and always will be... While I started in high school, college has allowed me to delve into hobbies that I love, such as tabletop gaming. I can stress the importance of the social bonds and skills I have developed while trying to defeat orcs in a dungeon, it is honestly just fun. I have made some great friends doing this and enjoy the various personalities that I meet during our games. There’s a good mixture of outgoing, charismatic people, and quieter, introspective people and I have loved how everyone in our group is open and accepting of each other.

As I’m nearing the completion of my bachelor’s degree, I am looking forward to the challenges and adventures ahead of me. I am eager to pour myself into a new career, and to furthering my education in pursuit of my master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and ultimately my certification and new role as a professional... I will always appreciate my family, my friends, and all my teachers who have helped inspire me and get me in the stage of life I am now. I currently work as Nursery leader at Great Bridge United Methodist Church. Here, I care for children ages 0-3 and aid them in their journey with God with stories, dance, and coloring. This job requires that I continue to be CPR certified for adults and children and have an updated background check.

I started off at UC as an average student. I came from high school without being accepted into the Honor’s college, with no expectations of studying for my Master, and no idea what I wanted to do. I had no idea what sort of person I wanted to be and what sort of work would make me happy. The one thing I did know was that this first year would weed out the meek from the strong, so I stuck my head into my books and worked as hard as I could. My first year of college involved a lot of exploration. I put myself into new clubs, reached out to network with people, and grew my world past what I knew in Highschool.

In my head the only thing that I was really capable of doing was to just try. Whatever it was, just give it a shot and see if it was something I enjoyed. The second two years of college I learned that I needed to work on myself if I ever wanted to get anywhere. I saw that I was well behind several of my peers as I watched them thrive in the degrees they were taking. Some, actually being able to get through huge stacks of work in a day because they were so happy with what they were studying. After this realization I began to invest in myself.

I started building my skills focusing on learning ones that would build a solid foundation for my personality. Over time I read dozens of books on anything that I imagined would be useful for me to know. Books on Mathematics, Physics, Investment strategy, Banking, Meditation, Personal Change, and Leadership. I even started to document my progress in the gym pushing myself to beat last weeks record and struggling at times to even show up. But I recognized that it was all apart of the process, and that in order to build anything beautiful you need be patient. Trusting, or rather, having faith that it will all work out.

I learned how to be like a machine as I was digesting information and building upon my own system to make it better every day. I learned to love the grind; even on the days when it seemed hopeless and I had no clue if it would even benefit me. I just kept going, one step at a time, one page at a time, one more task completed at a time. Then, almost like a symphony things began to make sense and the big picture got bigger and bigger. Starting off in Electrical Engineering and switching to Computer Engineering during my summer of 2020 is probably one of the boldest moves I've ever made. I was meditating every day while I was participating in my Coop, and I learned so much about myself through journaling and reflection.

I realized during this period that deep down I have a passion for software and building circuits. I began to realize that by not taking action and controlling the outcome of my life, was the equivalent to compliancy and stagnation. What I was studying all of the sudden no longer became an option. I had to do something, or I wasn’t going to be happy the rest of my life. So, I switched my degree to Computer Engineering and have never been happier with what I am studying. I have yet to look back once on that decision.

I knew from all the meditation that this is who I wanted to be. Because of this introspective and mind opening experience that I worked to put myself through. I am more confident to handle whatever challenge is before me. I have a personal mission statement about the man and leader I want to be. That I reflect on every day when I read it. I have discovered that if I want to see any great change in the world the way I impact others is going to be at the center of the change.

And believe me, I want to change the world one day. It certainly doesn't happen over night and it could be decades before I ever see anything positive come from my work. But I trust the process, trust myself, and trust my faith that everything will eventually reveal itself to me over time. Welcome to my portfolio. I am thrilled you’ve come to visit my showcase of work that I’ve compiled over the years, which includes a combination of collaborations, commissioned work and personal projects. Take a look and feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss potential opportunities to work together.

Let's get to know each other. I help brands tell purposeful stories through impactful content, creative branding, and event-driven experiences that leave a lasting impression. Navigate through my case studies, visual media, writing, and more. Each page includes real results and creative strategy—from brand development and social campaigns to community-building events. Events & Creative Projects (Coming Soon) Since childhood, I’ve been a creator at heart.

I’d use glitter and play makeup on scraps of cardboard as canvases, or trace dress patterns from pajamas, much to my mom’s dismay. Creating wasn’t just a pastime—it was how I explored the world and expressed myself. That drive to make and connect has been the through-line in everything I do. I’ve dabbled in many hobbies and creative pursuits, but it wasn’t until college that I found my calling with communications and public relations. I discovered the power of media to move people, and how effective storytelling can make consumers feel like they are a part of something bigger. Working as a leader on a few creative teams allowed me to turn abstract ideas into tangible, meaningful work.

I learned that I’m not just a team player, but I’m an empathetic leader who listens, encourages, and rolls up her sleeves to get things done. Now, I’m looking to grow. I’m excited to expand my career as a brand strategist and step into the events industry—a space where storytelling, design, and human connection collide. I’m driven by the desire to help people feel seen, heard, and inspired—whether through a campaign, an experience, or a beautifully-executed event. Here you will find blog posts from my current role at Kurgo Products. A large part of my role as a Marketing Specialist involves creating content.
