This University was Established in 1971, Buriram Rajabhat University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Buriram (The area population ranges between this figures 10,000-49,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand, Buriram Rajabhat University (BRU) is a coeducational Thai higher education institution. Buriram Rajabhat University started as a small educational institution for aspiring teachers. Here are some of them: Basic information and contact details for Buriram Rajabhat University Buriram Rajabhat University is in the Buriram province in Thailand. The university was originally launched as Buriram Teachers’ College, in direct response to the need for a large number of qualified teachers in the country. First founded in 1971, over the years it gradually added to its curriculum, starting with two-year degree courses and then moving on to four-year courses. In 1995 the Teacher College Act was replaced by Rajabhat Institute Act and with it, the name was changed to Buriram Rajabhat University.

Today there are seven faculties including the education, humanities and social sciences, management sciences, science, agricultural technology, industrial technology and nursing. Along with undergraduate degrees, there is a graduate school with programs in educational administration, curriculum and learning management, English, public administration and political economics and governance. There are also two doctoral degrees offer too: philosophy in educational administration and philosophy in leadership for professional development. There are also a range of facilities onsite including a student dormitory, hotel, sports science centre and stadium, language institute and a cultural centre, library, bank, health centre, cafeterias and computer labs. BRU was originally established as a teacher training college before becoming a full-fledged university. The Rajabhat University system, to which BRU belongs, was created to support regional development, focusing on teacher education, community service, and research.

BRU offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees across various faculties, including Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology, Management Science, and Industrial Technology. The university offers courses in Thai and English, with an increasing focus on internationalization. Buriram Rajabhat University is located on 349 Jira Road, Naimuang sub-district, Muang district, Buriram province near the City Hall. The university is situated on a plot of land covering 297 rai, 1 ngan and 27 square wah. This plot of land was originally used as an airport of the Thai Royal Air Force. Later on the western part of the land was donated to the Special Operating Agency under the Provincial Police Constabulary and the Office of Accelerated Rural Development while the eastern area was given to... Buriram Rajabhat University was initially named as “Buriram Teachers’ College” which was established in line with the needs of government officials and local people led by the former provincial governor, Mr. Surawuthi Bunyanu and members of parliament in Buriram constituency.
