The ITHelpdesk is the front door to Gettysburg College’s Information Technology. It is the central location for solving computer problems for faculty, staff, and administrators. The ITHelpdesk is located on the first floor of the West Building and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the academic year. During the summer months, hours are 8:00 a.m.

Students can call ext. 6935 (on campus), 717-337-6935 (off campus), or e-mail gtech@gettysburg.edu for G-Tech assistance. Faculty, staff and students can also submit an IT Helpdesk ticket to report a computer problem or to request technical assistance. Callers using ext. 7000 have two menu choices:If you are faculty or staff experiencing Audio/Visual or Enhanced Learning Space issues, telephone or computer problems, please press 1.If you are a student experiencing technology problems, please press 2. The ITHelpdesk has a limited supply of loaner laptops for purposes in situations when there are no computers available.

You can reserve a loaner laptop by calling the ITHelpdesk at ext. 7000 or emailing ITHelpdesk@gettysburg.edu. See the Loaner Laptop Policy for more detailed information. The Infrastructure and Computing Office (IC) serves as the primary customer service unit for the Information Technology division at Gettysburg College. IC is charged with making sure computer and telecommunication problems are resolved to your satisfaction. The main ITHelpdesk and G-Tech (Student Computing) are located on the first floor of the West Building.

IC maintains the current computing infrastructure and plans for its continued growth and expansion. Our primary responsibilities include the ITHelpdesk, hardware support, computer networks, computational engines, Unix workstations, computer labs, technical consulting and expertise, and telecommunications.
