In LAB Admission to Master's Programmes, applicants are selected to master's degree programmes taught in English language. All Master's Degrees in LAB University of Applied Sciences are taught in our Online Campus. All applicants are welcome to apply through the whole Admission period regardless of whether their higher educational background is Finnish or non-Finnish. In LAB Admissions to Master's Programmes, applicants are selected to English-taught Master's programmes that begin in August 2026. Application period is 1st November 2025 – 21st January 2026. Applicants can apply to one programme in the LAB Admission for Master's Degree Programmes.

You must supplement your documents by 28th of January 2026 at the latest. In the first application period of spring, LAB University of Applied Sciences offers a total of 328 study places for the campuses in Lahti and Lappeenranta, as well as for online studies.
There are 14 English degree programs available in business administration, technology, health and social care, design and the hospitality, restaurant and tourism sectors. The nine bachelor’s degree programs in the application correspond to the Finnish lower university degree. Additionally, there are five master’s degree programs available, which correspond to the Finnish higher university degree. This year, the application includes two new multidisciplinary master’s degree programs, implemented in cooperation with various fields. The Circular economy solutions program is a collaboration between the fields of business administration, technology, LAB’s Institute of Design and Fine Arts, and LUT University. The Technological transformation leadership program combines the expertise of LAB’s technology and health and social care fields.
Other new master’s degree programs include Design for the planet, Emergency care systems development and leadership, and Business innovation culture and creativity. “Multidisciplinary master’s programs address the challenges faced by the workforce and rapidly changing competency requirements. The online programs also provide the opportunity for flexible combination of work and studies”, says Mari-Anna Suurmunne, vice rector for education at LAB University of Applied Sciences. The first application period of spring begins on January 8 and ends on January 22 at 3:00 PM. Through rolling admission, LAB offers a total of nine bachelor’s degree programmes in business, technology, design, health and social care, as well as hospitality, restaurant and tourism management. At the Lahti campus, the programmes available are International Business, Industrial Information Technology, Sustainable Construction Technology, Sustainable Solutions Engineering, and Sustainable Design Business.
At the Lappeenranta campus, applicants can choose from International Business, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Paramedic Nursing, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. LAB’s English-taught studies provide students with the opportunity to build international expertise and networks already during their studies. Rebecca Lindfors, a student of International Business, explains how studying in English has supported her career plans: “Studying in English has been immensely beneficial for my career. In addition, a solid command of English is required. At least three years of work experience after graduation is required. Candidates who have completed in Finland a college level qualification (opistoaste tai ammatillinen korkea-aste, mm. insinööri), worked for three years after that, and then started their bachelor studies, can be accepted as applicants. The work experience needs to be obtained by 31 December 2018. Only previous work experience for which you have been given a testimonial by your employer can be accepted.
Entrepreneurship is accepted as work experience, if you can provide a certificate given by a designated authority (in Finland i.e. a testimonial issued by YEL or MYEL insurance). A part-time job is converted into full-time work experience so that 150 hours or 20 full-length working days (at least 7 hours per day) are equivalent to one month. The work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained under the same employer. LUT University is a public science university in Finland, bringing together the fields of technology, business, and social and communication sciences. Our degree programmes are developed in close cooperation with industry, ensuring your studies are relevant to the changing needs of your profession.
