At the time of the win, News/Media Alliance CEO Danielle Coffey told Digiday that the joint lawsuit is indicative of the mood among publishers this year.

The News/Media Alliance today welcomed Elena Muehlenbeck to the organization as its new Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Muehlenbeck will manage the overall finance and administrative functions of the News/Media Alliance and its research affiliate, the American Press Institute. Muehlenbeck is a seasoned finance executive with more than two decades of non-profit industry experience leading financial strategy, operations, and risk management. Prior to joining the Alliance, she was Chief Financial Officer of the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), where she provided strategic executive leadership in all areas of finance, accounting, procurement, legal and grants management to... She also served as Treasurer of the BPC and BPCA Board of Directors. Prior to her role as CFO at the Bipartisan Policy Center, she worked as the Controller/Director of Finance, and then Vice President, Finance and Administration, of the organization.
