Dublin City University will welcome over 4,300 new undergraduates this September. The university has seen particularly strong interest in many of its Engineering specialisms, Nursing courses, in School of Law and Government (including notably International Relations) and in Journalism, as well as across multiple specific... The university has increased its intake across several high demand courses, resulting in points remaining the same or having dropped in some instances (Computing, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Psychology). Speaking about the CAO 2025 offers, Professor Daire Keogh, President of Dublin City University said: “I am delighted to see the continued growth in demand for DCU’s offering, which reflects the excellence of the University’s courses and the student experience. I am also pleased that we have been able to broaden opportunities this year by offering new courses and increasing capacity in high-demand programmes in science and computing subjects.”

I would add it would be categorical error of judgement to arrive at a conclusion that DCU's DNA relates to its establishment, a couple of decades ago. No. The amalgam of DCU is very much anchored into the origins of education policy for Ireland from St Pats in the 19th Century and the missionary college All Hallows and Mater Dei and the... Its multiple range orbit goes to USA/Australia/EU.

I would describe its orientation track and trace, as practices of grounded recognition; very prudent fiscal management etc. The old sites combined with new, particularly the underlying ethos of our educational pedagogy in early education, reliant on multi-site transfers within Ireland and international. With the current climate we are in, it is interesting to watch DCU's climb on the merit rankings. Certainly a university to watch.
